What original ideas did you see for Halloween costumes this year? Either for adults or for kids?
We went to the childrens Halloween parade in our town. DD was one of 4 ladybug's that I saw. And last year she was one of many Dorothy's. I *thought* I was original since I sew her costumes myself. But I guess my ideas are not original.
My favorite that I saw today was "Fern" - the little girl from Charlotte's web. She was wearing overalls and a flannel shirt, she had 2 pig tails, she as carrying a stuffed pig - Wilbur, and she had Charlotte in her overalls pocket. I thought it was so original and so adorable.

My BF is making her youngest DD's costume. See will be the Fisher Price See-N-Say. I will post pics once they are available.

I am not sure how original it is because I copied it from a picture on the internet but it was a big hit saturday night.

I went to a costume contest last night and there were lots of great costumes. My favorite was an 10 y/o dressed as a chef pushing what looked like a room service cart (it was actually a stroller underneath) that had a pot with a baby dressed in a lobster costume. I wish I had taken a picture, it was the cutest thing ever.

Well, it wasn't this year, but last year my friend's ex-boyfriend was probably one of the most original I've ever seen. He came as an iPod:

We had a toddler in my playgroup dressed up like Jim from "The Office" He had messed up hair, a loose tie, and a rumpled button down oxford. It was very cute and clever on the mom's part as he wouldn't put on a more traditional costume.
Not sure if you'd consider it original for people in my age group, for the teenager I saw it on, I thought it was very original. The last set of trick or treaters at my house last night included a kid dressed as Dark Helmet from Space Balls.

We had a vampire hippie come to the door last night. I'd never heard of that combo. :)

I saw a mini-Donald Trump. He even had his hair poofed and he didn't say Trick or Treat, he said, "You're fired." He was about 4 years old so it was pretty cute.

i have been fern for halloween. when i was a teacher, our school celebrated "book"oween instead, and everyone was supposed to dress up as a character in a book.

Someone at the huge party in town (we're talking 10s of thousands of people) was a "Velvet Elvis"

How do you dress as "MySpace"?
We didn't have anyone really orginal last night. Since we are outside of Boston, I would say 40% of the kids came as Red Sox players. With quite a few Tom Brady's thrown in for good measure. The most original I saw was 2 girls who came dressed as mime's. Though they totally blew it when they said "Trick or Treat".

We saw a girl dressed up as Facebook - it was pretty cool.
She had a piece of cardboard and her face was were your profile pic would be and she had a 'wall' with a sharpie attached so you could write on it - we all thought it was a blast!

With the myspace and facebook, one of the guys around here put on a sandwich board, became a Google search page, had "girlfriend" entered and the cursor over "I'm Feeling Lucky"

I went to an adults only party over the weekend and two interesting ones were...
One guy was dressed up as a football player. He had a ummmm, rooster hanging from his unzipped pants and called himself a C-ck Blocker.
Michael Vick (I am in the Atlanta area) leading three people dressed up as pit bulls with a leash. Some people loved it. Some were offended. Whatever anyone thinks about it, it was certainly creative.

Oh yeah-one more that was kind of funny!
There was a girl dressed up in a rum-colored running track suit and she called herself a "Rum Runner." She was complete with sweatband around her head LOL.
