I've thought about dedicating a song at our reception to my new hubby, but can't think of anything good, without it being something I've heard a billion times at a wedding.

My mom said From This Moment by Shania Twain, but there's something about that song that grates on my nerves.

Any ideas?

Maybe not your style but I wanted something a bit Ally McBeal-ish so we did Barry White for our first dance. Two of his songs I like in particular are cant get enough of your love or my first, my last, my everything.

How about "By your side" by Sade. It's from her Lovers Rock CD.

The lyrics are amazing. :)

um, maybe I should be embarrassed, but I LOVE Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This." :D

We played a lot of standards at our wedding so I'm kind of partial, but if I were dedicating a song to my DH (not the "First Dance", right?), I would pick:

"At Last"
by Ella Fitzgerald

At last my love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song
At last the skies above are blue
And my heart was wrapped up in clover
The night I looked at you
I found a dream that I can speak to
A dream that I could call my own
I found a thrill to press my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known
You smiled, and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
And you are mine at last

ETA: Actually, this is an excellent First Dance song, too!

Thanks a lot for the replies!

And Sublime...no, it's not the first dance song.
