Perez Hilton readers.....

What do you think of Perez's "humor"? I'm specifically talking about his nicknames for people and the graphics/drawings he adds to photos. Do you think they're funny? Do you think they're necessary? Do they add something to his site, in your opinion? Do you think they're ridiculous and detract from the gossip (not that gossip is important)? Do you find them annoying?

Just curious about what everyone thinks!

I find the writing and drawings on the pictures completely immature. He's obviously made a name for himself, he has a huge fanbase, he's "in" with the celebs now...it's not even necessary.

My understanding is that his scribbles are actually required in order for him to be able to use those paparazzi photos royalty free...something to do with the Fair Use regulations?

Honestly, I rarely read his site. He hardly ever gets a good, accurate scoop before other sites. His site seems to be mostly devoted to cattiness and self-promotion. And I hate the scribbling on the photos.

Can't STAND him. There are so many better gossip sites out there, most of which he steals his info/photos from. I can't wait for the lawsuits against him to come through.

I won't read his site anymore. Not even when a story is linked on CC. I hate his need to belittle and insult at ever turn.

I think the scribbling, etc. is totally annoying. I used to read his site very regularly, but I am noticing more and more how one-sided his coverage is. God only knows who is paying him to not write about them (or to write more about their enemies).

I never read Perez's site for all the reasons others have mentioned -- immature scribbling on pics, one-sided stories, stupid nicknames, etc. Plus, I think he is flat out an annoying douchebag.

I used to read The Superficial (http://www.thesuperficial.com) a lot, but I've moved on to DListed (http://www.dlisted.com) . . . I check it at least 2 or 3 times a day. The humor is a little immature over there too, but nowhere near Perez's level.

Of all the celeb gossip blogs I hate his the most. He has to resort to his stupid drawings and nicknames because he's not witty enough to come up with something more humorous. Besides, for my taste, he's just not bitchy enough. ;)

I love the scribbling and find it totally hysterical. He says exactly what I am thinking. Guess I'm weird! :)
