I lived in the Central Valley from age 5 until age 17. I hope to never, ever have to live there again. :)

ejs - Where in Central CA did you live and where do you live now? I am not from Central CA but live there now because of DH job.

I was south of Fresno and north of Bakersfield. I'm in the Bay Area now.

Delano? or Visalia? Just curious. My sister lives near Visalia and works in Delano and HATES it.

I grew up in Fresno and left when I graduated HS. Came back briefly to re-group after a bad breakup and realized why I left the first time. There are some lovely people there (family and friends) but I only try to visit once a year. :-)

mmh I live in Bakersfield. It sux but not as bad as Delano! LOL Actually my BIL works in Delano (sells grapes for a vineyard) and my BF works in Delano also. Where are you? I have lived here for a few years now. I am a southern transplant. With all the rednecks here I feel right at home actually LOL But i can't complain too much. I am so close to a lot of really cool places that I would never have been to if I hadn't moved here.
