"Block Party/National Night Out" ideas

Okay, so our party is at our house because I never bothered to get a permit to block off the street. Either way, we're hosting this in our yard. Here's what the plans are so far...

-Allan works on yard this weekend some more
-Name tags
-Sign up sheet so that I can put together a directory of phone #s
-Using two long tables for food to go on
-Borrowing 5 gallon beverage container
-Need lemonade to put in it
-Tablecloths, cups, (plates, etc.???)
-If people bring instruments, they can play those

Any other ideas? Anyone else in charge of this event in your own neighborhood?

I've been to some NNO gatherings where they have kid games like trike races, balloon tosses, etc. Is this what you're looking for or more food ideas?

If food - I think keep it simple. It's a very family orientated night. Hot dogs, brats, burgers, chips, veggies, etc.

Oh, and it's potluck, so everyone is bringing something to share.
