I am planning on getting married at the MGM in Las Vegas in June of 2008. I was wondering if anyone had any reviews on it.
We are currently in the planning process right now. We are trying to decide what kind of reception to have, as far as a Catered Reception, In Suite Reception, or Restuarant Reception.
TIA!!!

I've been to two weddings at the MGM Grand. Both of them had the ceremonies held off-site in chapels around the Strip. Both had receptions in suites on the upper floors of the MGM-- the ones that have patios with hot tubs overlooking the Strip. The space was fine for a smallish wedding reception. I'm thinking there were maybe 30-40 people at each wedding?
Both receptions were catered by the hotel in the suite. I remember heavy hors d'oeurves, cake and drinks at each. The food and cake were great, as I recall. It was all fairly casual, but I definitely had a good time and thought the hotel did a fine job in taking care of the party.

Thanks Rosebud!!
We are looking at having about 50 to 60 people at the wedding. We are also planning the wedding onsite and the reception also on site so that none of our guests have to leave the hotel. They also gave me 15% of the Suite for the reception and wedding night. Also our guests get 15% off of there rooms too!! Which is great.

my co-worker went the catered reception on site in Vegas for her wedding with about 50 people and raves about it. She also recently went to a wedding with about the same amount people in which the reception was at a restaurant. While it was a good time, she said the restaurant route seemed super loud and lacked intimacy.
