Hi there-
I went off the Pill in April. Since then, I have had cycles of 33, 30, and 32 days. But, AF has been a lot lighter than it was when I was on the Pill!!
I thought that the Pill was sometimes used to reduce PMS symptoms and make people's periods lighter/shorter. But, mine is quite a bit lighter now and seems shorter than when I was on the Pill.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks!

Yes, but only sort of.
I went off BCP last November, and my cycles have been all sorts of lengths. I've only had aF visit 3 times since then, but all three times she was lighter, and didn't last as long as she had while on BCP! Plus, BCP had actually made AF less heavy and painful for me.
I guess the good news for you is lighter AF and fairly regular cycles, yay for you!!! ;)

My first periods off the pill were really short and light. In fact, one month I only spotted. Other months were only 4 days long, 2 of those days spotting. And my periods lasted for 9 days before going on the pill! They were slowly getting back to normal (the cramps came back with a vengence about the fourth or fifth period) and lengthening just before I got pregnant.

My period was lighter off the pill too. I think it lasted for about a day and a half (pretty light) and then spotted for a couple days after that. My obgyn said not to worry and didn't seem concerned at all. I got pregnant on cycles 2 and 4 of TTC and my miscarriages had nothing to do with my light periods. I've been off the pill a little over 2 years now and they are *just now* getting to be normal consistently.
