Asha I think my ds has rolled over a total of 3 times but like your dd seems to be on track developmentally otherwise so I am not worrying about it. They will in their own good time. I think if he had it his way he would sit before he rolled...;)

Lisa OMG! So glad you and the kiddo are ok!

Asha I wouldn't worry about it too much. Each kid is different in terms of when they master a skill.

Things are going pretty well here.

Teeth None here! But DS#1 didn't get his first tooth until 11 months which was fine by me since I was still nursing. I hope Charlie follow his brother's lead!

Rolling In the past week Charlie has been rolling like a log all over the living room. It it too funny! I have never seen a two year old pick up his toys so fast that way his brother doesn't touch them. This new phase is going to fun!

Solids I was going to wait until the end of the month to try solids, but Charlie was really looking ready. So we gave it a try and he LOVED it! I'm so thankful because DS#1 wanted nothing to do with food for the longest time and it was so frustrating. So far we have only done cereal mixed with BM and sweet potatoes.

Sleeping I'm hoping we turned a new corner in the sleep department. We have been swaddling, but a couple nights ago when I went to go get him in the middle of the night he was on his belly with the miracle blanket around his neck. So last night was the first night of "Operation No Swaddle" and he slept better then when he was swaddled. In the past he slept maybe two hours and then pretty much wanted to be attached to me for him to go back to sleep. Last night I put him down to 6:30 and he slept until 8:30. Then I fed him and put him back down at 9:00 and he slept until 3:00 am!!! I was so excited, but of course I was up every hour thinking he was going to wake up. Then he slept until 6:30 when I fed him again and he dozed until he was up for the day at 7:30. It seems like he really moves while he sleeps and I think the swaddle was really waking him up because he wasn't able to move like he wanted to. This kids is all over the crib while sleeping, it is pretty amazing to watch!

Question How many have gotten AF back? I still don't have it and I'm hoping it stays away for a few more months. It is so nice not to have to think about it!

Question How many have gotten AF back?
I got AF once, in like October or something. Nothing since then. But my doctor did some bloodwork and discovered that my hormones are all out of whack, so it's no surprise. I'm on BCP for now, so AF will be coming regularly. Ah, well.

My skin has been crappy lately too. I miss that from being pregnant. My skin was pretty perfect the whole time.

Question How many have gotten AF back?

AF returned for me in October of last year. :( She hasn't given me a break since then, unfortunately. Yuck.

My day of beauty at the spa was AWESOME! :D I got there a little before 10 am and didn't leave till 5! I got a one hour massage, European facial, spa pedicure, spa manicure, custom makeup application, haircut & style. Oh, and breakfast and lunch too! :) It was really something. I've never been pampered like that before! Happy birthday to me!

I bet you feel fantastic! I had a massage a couple months ago and it was bliss. I need to schedule another one.

Hi all! Just wanted to ask a few quick questions on here. My daughter just turned 5 months old and has been turning over from her back to her belly for the last month. Well, for the last week, she has now been doing it in her sleep at night in her crib. When I go in to check on her in the middle of the night she is face down. I've tried everything and can't seem to keep her on her back to sleep! It is freaking me out because I know they are supposed to sleep on their back to help prevent SIDS. Don't laugh....but I've actually resorted to sleeping on the floor of her nursery in a sleeping bag the last few nights! I am terrified she is going to stop breathing! Is anyone else's baby doing this in their sleep? If so....any recommendations?!?

I was also curious and was wondering how much breastmilk/formula your little ones are taking in per day. My daughter drinks 7 oz in one sitting. She takes about 28 oz in a day...plus her baby oatmeal. I am starting her on carrots this weekend. I am concerned she isn't getting enough formula per day (I breastfed until 4 months when my supply went WAY low)!

Oh...and my skin is a mess now too! I haven't broken out like this since high school which was a LONG time ago. AF came back last month so maybe is has something to do with that!!

hmgysan - Once they can roll at will, it's fine for them to sleep on their stomachs. My DD does the same thing.

The problem is she hasn't figured out how to roll from her belly to her back! So when she wakes up at night on her tummy and wants to roll back over she can't!

AF - nope, thank god!

teeth - only 1 on the bottom, but the drool and crankiness are peaking again, I bet another tooth in on its way.

turning over - your baby should be fine, but if it makes you feel better to sleep on her floor, then you gotta do what you gotta do! (FWIW - my DS has been a tummy sleeper since about 1 month. Only way to get him to sleep.)

food - well, I decided to give DS cheerios today. I had better, but yet mild, success with them. He did eat a few, but it seemed like after he mushed them up in his mouth he spit a lot out. He loved it though, and actually opened his mouth for them (which he won't do for pureed food).

Maddy's 6 month proofs are up! I think they turned out really good! If you want to see them you can go to Thompson's Photography (http://www.thompsonsphotography.com/), choose client proofing and put in madeline for the password.

Katie - Maddy's pictures are cute.
Asha - Don't worry too much about the rolling over development I have heard a lot that since back to sleep babies don't reach that development at the same rate as previously. DD only rolls when it is absolutely necessary and would rather scream. she has been sitting up unassisted for awhile now.
Lisa - Glad that you and A are olay. Have fun on the cruise!
Kym - Happy Late Birthday! I would give my arm for a day at the spa, but would probably miss DD too much the whole time I was gone.
Silentbunny - Liam is cute!
Annie - Yah for the army crawl!
DizyLizy - I cannot believe that DS signs milk, that is awesome. how long have you been signing with him? I have been signing a few words with DD and nothing yet. I am as excited to see the first sign as much as hear her first "real" word.

Talking - DD babbles mostly when she is tired. She has been doing mum and mama for some time. Lately she has been shrieking A LOT!
How many have gotten AF back?
Yes for a while and it sucks. I am not bf though so I figured it would be back.
Teething - DD had the classic sign that teeth were on the way (chewing everything) but today we were able to see the outline on her gum line for her bottom two front teeth. it is strange though because it still feels the same.
Other Developments DD pulled herself up for the first time this past week in her crib using her Mr. Turtlehead soothing machine. Also she is now in a phase that she will not let me bend her waist/ hips up when I am trying to change her diaper. That with flexing her legs so we cannot take off her pj's or get a diaper between her thighs. It is driving me nuts.

Quick question to everyone; assuming that these tax rebates go through without further debate, how will the government know that we had our LO's this year and adjust our rebate accordingly? Its $300 per child and right now that will make a difference for DH and I as we trying to get as much money saved as possible for buying a house in the next few months.

Katie- LOVE the pictures!! I love picture 124 the best!! And the family shots are great, but I have to say, your hubby doesn't look thrilled!! (it made me laugh, actually) But then, if you let it "play" long enough it goes to the older pictures, and he had the same look, so I guess that is just him. Can I ask, what does that cost to have a REAL photographer take your pictures?

How cool that she's pulling up!!

jimmysgirl424
I'm sort of confused by your question. Are you asking how they'll know we had a kid? It's my understanding that the rebates won't be out until the end of May at the earliest. I assume you won't get your rebate check until after you've filed your taxes which will have the kid info on them.

twainny
Keep in mind that we live in a small town in Missouri, so our prices are lower than the rest of the country probably. We pay a $40 session fee and then the prints (she just increased her prices at the beginning of the year, but I booked several appts. last year so I still get the old prices) which can add up pretty quickly. The 4x6's are $5, 5x7's are $10, 8x10's are $15 and so on.

It's kind of funny, because my DH HATES having his picture taken. If I can get him to smile it's always a fake smile. I have *1* pictures from our wedding where he has a real smile on his face. He's just will not smile for the camera. I'd rather have no smile at all that the stupid fake smile that I *know* every time I look at it that it's not real.

I really like 124 also. I thought it looked like something out of a catalog or something. Micah said it reminds me of some poor kid on the streets of a 3rd world country.

Kym-Actually I am pretty sure Katie is wrong(sorry Katie!!). You will not get the $300 for your LO this year. They are going to base this off 2006 tax returns. Next year when you file you will receive an additional $300 for your LO since they do not know about her at this time. They are not organized enough to figure out who does and does not have LO's and still get the money out at a decent time. I read that online:).

AF-Oh yes she is here. But currently missing:cool:. She is late but test said no go. Who knows!!

hymsgan-Hi! I wouldn't worry about how much your LO is getting. As long as she is growing and thriving the actual amount is going to be different for each child. I know many babies here used to eat much more than Blake and he was near them in weight and height. All babies are different and need different amounts:).

Better go Blake is playing with crackers in his booster chair. About time to get him ready for bed!

Jimmysgirl- That sounds heavenly!! Happy Birthday:)

Twainny- How old is your ds! I'm so afraid of dd chocking on anything. I gave her a Baby Mum Mum one time and decided to put them off till a later date. Then I was reading in a magazine how you can give very well cooked chunks of carrots as well as things like slices of avacado! I think I'd be scared to death!!

Katie- Love the pics!! What a cutie she is!
