I've noticed all the stores have the Halloween candy out. I've even seen it on sale. Is it going to go on (better) sale right before Halloween? When should I buy the stuff?

We're in a new house this year. I've been warned by everyone in town to buy tons of candy since this is a real popular neighborhood for trick or treating.

We get about 500, YES 500 trick or treaters each year and so I go to Costco and buy enough about a month ahead of time. I'm always so worried about running out.

If we didn't have so many I'd wait and buy smaller bags on sale at Target or something.

My husband is in the grociery business and will knock the prices down to basically nothing the day of or day before, although by that time there isn't all that much to choose from. I second Costco, its so much cheaper and you get huge bags.

I'd buy it the day of Trick or Treating, but that's so that it wouldn't be eaten before then. :o

We live on a busy street, so we don't tend to get anyone, we usually to a cousins house.

well - that's another issue. . .how much extra will i have to buy if i buy it in advance? or maybe i just buy something i dont' like and hide it from dh. . .

we don't have a costco or bj's membership. so i'll probably be buying the stuff at walmart.

we just buy stuff we don't like that way we don't eat it. last couple of years we have both been working so we haven't been able to give anything out. hopefully this year will be different :)
