Do you flush first?

I've always wondered if most people flush first and then button their pants, or if most people button their pants first and then flush.

What do you do??

I think I button first. I know that in a public restroom, I do, because so many public toilets seem to have a super flush that spits water back up, so I try to flush and run to avoid any splash.

I once saw a TV show where they said how much bacteria escapes into the air when you flush. So I button, flush and get out the stall as quickly as I can. :p

I used to flush first - but the water kept flying up and then I'd have to wipe all over again and blah blah blah. So now I button up and THEN flush.

I button then flush, and get out quickly, i have a thing with overflowing toilets, i was at a friend's when i was younger (10 yrs old) and it plugged and overflowed and it was so humiliating.

I can honestly say I've never, ever thought about this and I have just sat here for a few minutes trying to figure out which I do first. I still don't know. I'll have to wait until I need to pee again.

I zip/button/whatever first, then also use my foot to flush unless it's one of those automatic flushers.

Definitely button/zip and then flush...I really hate the automatic toilets if they flush quickly b/c I don't have time to cover myself. I do like automatic toilets b/c I don't have to touch a handle though!

All the toilets at work except one are super automatic -like 'you-are-halfway-standing-up' automatic. If possible I pick the one that doesn't flush until you are halfway out the stall - so I flush it myself. I don't want to open the door and not have it auto-flushed yet.

Honestly, I have no idea which I do first when I'm at home, and I just went!! :p I do know, when it's a public bathroom that I button first, but I only know this b/c like others, I use my foot to flush.
