Oliver Flip is a 4 month old Papillon that we just picked up friday night and he is just so cute and lovable. We have already spoiled him like crazy. My 11 year lab is still getting used to him though.

LMAO! That sounds about right for an established-in-the-home-first dog!
What a cutie, that little one is!!! :)

Thanks Ladies! I was calling him Killer earlier because he thinks he is such a bad butt but with that face it is so easy to laugh at him.

Oliver is part of the family now and even Molly (our lab) likes having him around.
We only have one problem and it is a pretty big one. Oliver will only go outside if Molly does and he only pees. As soon as he gets into the house he goes straight to the hallway and goes #2. I have actually covered the hallway in peepads and he moves them and then goes. Oliver will use the peepad to pee on in the middle of the night but will go #2 right next to it.
So far I have not had a problem between 7am to noon when I go home at lunch to let him out but once DH gets home at 3pm he will go #2 again in the hall. :(
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you crate training? I couldn't tell. But if he is in a confined area I would let him out to do his thing. Give him 10 minutes or so and if he doesn't go, then put him away again. Then let him out a half hour later and do it all over. Keep doing this until he goes #2 and when he does finally go, give lots of praise (no treats!) and let him in/out or free from the confined area. By the way your little guy is so adorable!

ivansbabe,Thanks! I think he is the cutest thing. We tried the crate training for 2 weeks on the advice of our vet (we stopped last friday) and it did not work out because he would pooped in his crate at night and be covered in it.. The vet adviced us to only keep him in his crate at night and let him have roam of the bathroom during the day. His crate is a travel one (we were told to get a small one that he could stand in and turn around). The breeder kept Oliver in a metal bigger crate all the time he did not seem to been taken out to housetrain.
We have sat outside everytime to make him go and he always goes pee but he will not poop out there. The closest I have got him to poop outside was my deck. I am at a lost on how to get him to go #2 outside and not in my hallway.
