This thread is timely... I saw the advertisement for these for the first time this morning - had never heard of them before... I'm curious to know if they work as well because produce just doesn't last as long as I'd like it to....

amazon seems to have favorable reviews... assuming it's the same product.

Ok, I bit the bullet and bought some online. I'll report back in a few weeks how they work.

Heidi! I'm so excited that someone had the guts to buy some. You just might start a cult following. :D I always get mad that I didn't eat my produce quick enough. Good thing I have a compost bin.
Thanks for starting this thread, because I am quite curious and had never heard of them.
I have them, They work fairly well. I dont use them too often but I liked them for strawberries, spinach and cucumber. I got them off QVC.

I've used them the past 2 weeks. I've used them for mixed greens and grapes so far. It has worked great so far for both. The lettuce lasted 10 days and usually it is done within 4-5 days. The grapes are still good after 10 days too. I did notice though that the grapes bag was wet, so I had to take them out and dry the bag - that seemed to really help them stay fresher longer. So far, it is a worthwhile investment.

heidi, thanks for the review. That's great about the lettuce b/c you're right, it usually only lasts about 4 or 5 days.
eta: Funny b/c I just threw out some lettuce that lasted about 4 days or so.

Any idea if/when these are going to be available in stores?

I ordered some from reusablebags.com but haven't tried them out yet. I have heard they are fabulous, though. Medako, I think Whole Foods might carry them.

I'm so glad to see this thread! I keep seeing the commercial on TV, and I just got a catalog that carries them, so I think I'll give them a try.
Medako, you can get them from the Harriet Carter catalog.

I LOVE my green bags! My bananas stay fresh for about a week and a half now and I had a head of lettuce, some tomatoes, and mushrooms in bags in my fridge and they lasted over 2 weeks without getting gross!

These bags are awesome. I've used them for carrots, mixed greens, bananas, avacados, mushrooms, peppers, etc. Everything lasts so much longer!
