We have finally decide on a name for our little girl due in November. We are going to call her Reese. But now I need to come up with a middle name.

Any suggestions?

Our last name is 2 syllables and begins with HAL.

Thanks!

I think the name Reese is great! For a middle name I would suggest something 2 syllable since your last name is 2 syllable.

here are some that I thought up, hope it helps get your ideas flowing!

Reese Marie Hal-up (not your last name but you get the idea)
Reese Nicole
Reese Emily
Reese Elizabeth
Reese Michelle

That's funny, I was going to say Reese Elizabeth, too. Then I scrolled down and saw the other two posters had said that same name! :D

I also like Reese Christine.

I really like Reese Elizabeth, too. I suppose the middle name would depend on whether you wanted to keep it somewhat unique like "Reese" or if you wanted to use something more mainstream. Two unique names or one of each? Hmmm.

Anyway, here are a couple more to conisder:

Reese Tatum
Reese Zoey
Reese Emma
Reese Angelina
Reese Ariana
Reese Chloe
Reese Alison
Reese Madeline

Good luck! Let us know what you decide!

I really love the name Reese because it is kinda different. For that reason, though, I think I'd give her a more classic middle name so that she has an option to use a name that is more timeless if she wants (like maybe if she's an attorney, she might would want to go by R. Catherine Lastname, Esq. or just Catherine Lastname, Esq.).

I like:
Reese Anne
Reese Catherine
Reese Diane
Reese Kathleen
Reese Lauren
Reese Michelle
Reese Natalie
Reese Patricia
Reese Renee
Reese Rachel

Do you have any family names you'd consider, first or last? I have my mother's maiden name as my middle name and although I didn't like it as a child, I really like it now. My sister has my grandmother's maiden name. We gave our DD my grandmother's first name for her middle name (Clare) and will probably give DC #2 (en route) my last name as his/her middle name. It's a nice way to keep names going and might give you some options you haven't yet considered.

I feel like a three-syllable name would work best with Reese + two-syllable last name, but I can't come up with anything, everything is either four syllables or two!

I was also going to say Reese Lee(spelled diff) - but I'm partial, it's my middle name.

I also like Reese Lynn, Reese Catherine, and Reese Elizabeth.

Thanks ladies. So far my husband likes

Reese Caitlin

I'm sure we'll debate it a little more though. I don't know about using a family member's name. I do have some family names I like.

Reese Catherine (after my mom)
Reese Margaret (Margaret was my great grandmother's name)

But mostly I like to use new names. However, if we use Caitlin, my mom's name is Catherine but she goes by Katie, and my MIL's name is Carolyn, so it kind of combines those 2 names a bit. LOL

I love the name Reese.. it was on my "girl" list, I was really going to push for Reese Margaret as Margaret was my grandmother's name, so I just wanted to say I liked that choice!

I also liked Reese Lauren as someone else suggested, and your front-runner, Reese Caitlin is beautiful!

I feel like a three-syllable name would work best with Reese + two-syllable last name

I agree! It will help mix up the sounds some. Also I am liking Elizabeth or Catherine the best so far since both are traditional/old fashioned names (where Reese had become popular in the last 5 years). Good luck, how exciting to have finally cosen a first name!

just wanted to chime in and say I love the name Reese Caitlin, it's very pretty. Reese was the girl name that I had picked out way before even meeting DH... well, now it's my last name, just spelled differently, so that won't work :( and now that I'm actually pg and thinking about names for real, I'm wishing he had taken my name, that's how much I LOVE the name Reese for a girl.

whatever middle name you choose, she'll have a great name :)

My niece is Reese Lillian (2-syllable last). She's mostly Reese, and sometimes Lili. She's also 2, so who knows what she'll end up... LOL!

I do like Reese Katherine.
Reese Jameson (little Lili's potential middle, before they remembered they were Catholic)
Reese Isabelle/ella?

I definitely agree, that a 3 syllable middle goes beautifully between the 1 and the 2. I think if you go with a shorter middle, it sounds kind of choppy?

(And, why does nobody spell Elisabeth with an S??? So pretty.)
