That would be eyeglasses, not drinking glasses! :)
I swear my glasses are getting dirty all the time. I do try to clean them or wipe them with a cloth. I am wondering, what is the best way to get my glasses squeaky clean so I can see?
Also, has anyone else had one of those annoying moments while driving where you are trying to figure out if it's your glasses that need to be cleaned, your windsheild, or both? I hate that! You're driving, things are a bit foggy, you quick wipe your glasses, and you realize it's your windshield that needs to be cleaned! I obviously need to be more proactive about cleaning my windows when I go to the gas station. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this annoying situation happen before.
Oh, another annoying thing with wearing glasses in a cold climate is that every time I am outside and then go inside somewhere (a restaurant, gallery, bar, someone's house, etc.), especially if the place is super crowded, they get all fogged up immediately! (This only happens in the winter of course.) I should have requested fog-proof lenses!

I got a microfiber cloth and some spray from my eye doctor's office. The spray is small enough that I keep one in my purse. Since DH has glasses as well, they always give us two sets so I keep one in my purse and one in our bathroom. I also got a tip recently from my eye doc to run some warm water with some Dawn and swish your glasses around in that. She said that will remove the grease/oil from around the rims so that doesn't smear all over your lenses when you clean them. The Dawn really helps get rid of that grease/oil. You really only need to do that a couple times a year when you notice the smears when cleaning with the microfiber cloth.
My glasses always fog up also. It's so cold in my office during the summer that even going outside in the summer will make them fog up! I haven't found anything to stop that from happening and just try to stand still long enough for them to clear because I'm absolutely blind if I take them off.

Dh cleans my glasses. he's really good at it :). But, he usually just wipes them down with his tee shirt, and it's done. I find if you huff on them, they won't fog as easily. I do hate the fog effect though! Thank goodness for contacts!

I always just run my lenses under some hot water and use a soft cloth to dry them off. That seems to work great.
I believe they do make a defogger you can rub on your lenses. I'll have to ask my dad if they still do (he had some for a while). You just rub it on until it's clear and you only have to reapply it every now and then when the stuff wears off. I don't think it was that pricey. I think it's the same stuff divers can use to rub on their masks.
I wish I could wear contacts. *sigh*

This may be worth trying. I found it on ebay for $4.95 and free shipping: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-FOG-ZERO-MASK-DEFOGGER-FREE-SHIPPING-IN-USA_W0QQitemZ180063620010QQcmdZViewItem

DH uses some cleaner from Wal-mart. Seems to work OK. :)

I just use warm water and whatever soap is on hand. I have an anti-glare coating on my lenses and it REALLY doesn't like to let go of finger/face oils so I clean my glasses a lot.

I use the little individually packaged glasses wipes. You can get them at any eyeglasses store. It's wasteful, I know, but I also have the anti-glare coating, and I can't get them clean any other way. I love the anti-glare, but not trying to clean it!

I breathe on them then wipe them with my tshirt. If they're really bad I'll use windex and a paper towel.

Just buy some of the eyeglass cleaning spray. It works great! I've worked for 2 eye doctors and they both used that. They also make wipies that work well.

I have a spray bottle that has a mixture of water and dish soap. I spray that on my glasses then rinse with water. It works great.

I have anti-glare glasses and I hate them -- they're impossible to keep clean. I now carry a little special glass wipe in my purse at all times with me -- I don't know exactly what it's called and we bought it at a sporting goods store of all places, but it comes in a little carrying case and is the same kind of wipe you would/could use for a lens on a camera.
I absolutely despise that I have to clean my glasses multiple times a day -- and with the anti-glare, I literally cannot just wipe them on my shirt or a napkin since that makes them smudgier. I won't be getting anti-glare again (plus, they got immediately scratched up as did DH's and we both take pretty good care of our glasses so that should NOT have happened).

tenofcups, yeah, the anti-glare is so hard to keep clean. Try the premoistened wipes! I clean mine every morning, and try really hard not to touch them the rest of the day. I have one of those cloths like you described that I use for touch ups during the day if necessary. I love the anti-glare though. It's increased my nighttime driving ability by 100%.
