Anyone have tips on what to pack for Sweden this time of year? We'll be in Stockholm and a little further north. We'll be doing general sightseeing and a few planned outdoor activities with the group we're visiting. Thanks.

We just got back from Stockholm, and it was in the 60s and 70s during the day, and a bit cooler at night. We found that layering worked best -- we wore pants and short-sleeved shirts with a light sweater or jacket for evenings.

(If you need a recommendation for a place to stay in Stockholm, PM me -- we rented a studio apartment and it was a much better deal than the hotels we considered.)

June and July have been terrible weather wise with lots and lots of rain. August and September is usually very nice here and the weather is just now picking up. It has been hot and sunny for about a week now.

I would pack for nice weather; skirts/shorts and tops but also throw in some trousers and jeans and some sweaters. Bring a lightweight jacket and an umbrella.

If you do find you have packed too light there is plenty of good shopping here. :)
