Argh. There is some cold/flu bug going around my circle of friends & coworkers and now I've caught it. My head hurts, I'm stuffy and my throat is sore. Plus, I have swollen glands. Is anyone else sick and miserable too?
:(
Waah.

I was a few days ago. I had the worst sore throat I'd ever had. I could barely swallow. It got really bad and then went away.
Hope you feel better!

Ohhhh, I so feel your pain. I'm healthy now, but I had the same crap a few weeks ago. Knocked me on my butt for over a week, and I ended up missing 2 days of work.
I hope you get better soon! The summer flu sucks!

Yuck.. I also had it last week and boy did it suck!!! Got it from dh and then I managed to pass it around to several other people. The good thing is that in my case it didn't last too terribly long.. 3 days I think.

Not now but I had it last week--on my birthday no less. FH did his best to make it a fun day but between me being sick and my cat being extremely sick (I think she's dying), it certainly wasn't my best.
I've never found any cold medicine to be helpful, but for this particular cold, I took Robitussin and it really helped me (just the plain kind with gueffesin or however exactly you spell that). I happened to have it in the house and I really felt that it helped loosen things up so if you haven't tried that, you might want to...

I just cancelled an interview because I'm sick. Dumb people. They said I can't come in now they won't reschedule because it's an indication of how you'll be once you get the job. I love my bed more than I'd love that job. Dh really didn't want me to take it anyways.

Yep, the same sort of thing is going around here. Only on top of the sore throat/fever/stuffy head, I ended up with mono. And I've been so busy at work there hasn't really been time for me to stay home, so I've been dragging around work for the past 2 weeks. Blah.

:D hehe
Screw them! You didn't want their stupid job anyway!
I know how you feel. I had to postpone a day of training at my new job. I said sorry, I am very reliable but this has me knocked down. And I really don't think people want me handling their food when I'm coughing all over the place.
nothing worse than a summer cold! Sorry you're sick!

Wow, I read this thread last Thursday....didn't post because I didn't want to jinx myself...and here I am on Monday sick (took Friday off as a sick day).
I was actually throwing up a little (which I NEVER EVER do). Then I got horribly sore, almost like I threw my back out.
I have a cough now but I woke up this morning with (TMI!!) crusty stuff around my right eye. Now its getting a pink hue. I hope I don't have pink eye now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an absolutely disgusting cough. I feel fine, but I know I'm sick because when I've gone for a run the past three mornings, I have literally left a trail. It is wholly disgusting. I am trying not to be disruptive to the people around me and I keep apologizing ... but I really need to be here this week!

I am still not over my cold... and figured out last night that I'd taken a cold medicine containing an inactive ingredient to which I am allergic, so now I have a cold, no cold medicine, and a very unhappy GI system.

Bump!
I think one of my kids at school gave me strep. I'm feeling like crap, I'm pregnant, and I can't see the doctor until 2. I just feel like whining about it!
Anyone else sick?
I'm having allergies, does that count?

Me! Me!
DD was kind enough to share her cold with me....I'm stuffy, cold, and tired. Plus I can't taste anything which really sucks because then whats the point of eating, KWIM?

Glad I'm not the only one. I went to the doctor and they said it's viral. I'm taking some OTC medicine and waiting it out. This sucks!

DH has a cold and I have some weird stomach thing (naseua and anytime I eat ANYTHING I have to get myself to the bathroom ASAP)....we're a mess.
TMI - but I was on a call today with my new boss and one of my stomach cramps/get to the bathroom QUICK moments happened and I couldn't get off the phone. It was the most miserable 15 minutes of my life!!

I puked all over my kitchen sink about 20 minutes ago. Not a good thing when you have a 2 year old watching.
Gawd, I hope this doesn't last

Not me...thankfully, but definitely DH. He is normally too macho to whine but last night he did then laid in bed and put some peroxide in his ears (supposedly helps with sinus pressure and mucus but I had never heard it before his family and one of our groomsmen said it...so it could just be a wives tale. ) Then he put my heating pad in his head and neck because he said he felt like his head was going to explode. I will make sure I get him some vinegar because that will clear him right out! (And I need to hurry up and get him well so he doesn't pass it to me since he coughed on me in his sleep the other night. :()

Not me, but my kids. They've had runny noses forever and dd1 has a nasty cough. And now I've gotten puked on 3x by dd2 in the last 6 hours. To top it off dh said he didn't feel well this morning but didn't really complain about (he knows what's good for him;)) and I had some dental work done the other day which I'm still feeling the effects of. Oh what joy:cool:

Count me in!! I have been sick with something since the Wednesday before Thanksgiving :(
First it was congested, but not really, sore throat, super tired and general ickyness. This week it has turned into a runny, drippy nose, cough and still tired. Wah! Go away please!
