TTCers of ConstantChatter:
Charting Our Course to the BFPs

http://www.ripleysorlando.com/images2/fertilitystatues.jpg
The fertility statues are known to work for some who rub them around the time of possible conception.
It is said that the baby is the most potent part of the statue.

So rub away! :D It's worth a shot!

Who we are:
This is a group of women using charting (temperatures, CM, CP, OPK/FM results, or a combination of these) to try to conceive and, along the way, are learning a heckuvalot about their own bodies! Many of us use a software program to keep track of our charts as well as allowing us to share them with each other. The most common ones are FertitlityFriend.com and Ovusoft.com.

Your threadmistresses for this thread are
sea74 and missy329.

To our members:
This thread gets very busy at times, so in order to keep things less overwhelming and a bit more organized, we start a new thread every month. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over. The threadmistresses would really appreciate it if everyone would post their updates in Red. That way, if we get a bit behind, it is much quicker to get the thread up-to-date.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

Want to join the fun??
We welcome one and all. It doesn't matter if you have never charted before or if you've been charting to avoid. I am sure you will find lots of help and support in this group.

If you would like to join, CD1 is the time to do it! That way, we can cheer you on throughout your cycle, rather than 2 days before you test! (Also, note that if you join us during your 2ww and you get a BFP that cycle, you will not be listed as a graduate.)

Please don't be discouraged by the number of posts in this thread. You don't have to read the whole thread to join. Feel free to just jump in on the last page. Just read through these first couple of posts and post a reply with the following information and we will get you added right away. Of course, none of this info is a must but we like to know a little bit about one another.

Things I Have Learned About TTC
by WC's Sherylb

* TTC is a journey. You will discover things about yourself that you never expected. You will face fears you never thought you had. You will find joy in little things.

* TTC can bring you closer to your DH, or it can pull you apart. If your marriage is not solid, you will find out quickly.

* No one understands exactly what you are feeling at any given moment, but someone can empathize at least a little bit.

* You will experience an emotional roller coaster ride. There will be highs and lows and fast moments and slow. Sometimes you have to wait in a very, very slow moving line. You may not even get the seat you want. It is not always fun, it can be scary, but in the end it is worth it.

* "Just relax" is the last thing in the world you want to hear from someone, but it is OK if you say it about yourself.

* There will be moments when you question your own decision to start TTC. You will wonder if you should wait or if you should just give up. Those are normal. But you will get past those feelings.

* The blue and green turtle likes to pop its head out! You will hear of someone's pregnancy and turn green with envy and blue inside because it isn't you.

* It isn't fair, it isn't easy, and it isn't pretty. But you keep doing it because the reward is worth it.

* You will be your best friend and your worst enemy. Your body will surprise you and yet disappoint you.

* Some women do get lucky and conceive right away. Others aren't so lucky and have to struggle to get there. Hopefully you will be in the first category, but prepare yourself to be in the second.

* Once you decide to TTC, there will be babies and pregnant women everywhere! You could swear there is a baby boom going on!

* You will have questions. No one will ever be in exactly your position, so don't be surprised when no one can give you exactly the answer you are looking for. But there are people that can contribute, so don't be afraid to ask!

â‚¢ Two lines on a pregnancy test is not the end of the struggle. Pregnancy has lots of struggles in and of itself.

The nurse said to count yesterday as CD 1, but I'm not sure. I didn't start until after 9, and (TMI) didn't even fill a regular tampon overnight, so I think I'll actually count today as CD 1. I go in at 8 tomorrow for the baseline, and then find out how many vials I need to order this time. I'm going to see if I can get a different trigger shot too. If timing works the same it did last cycle, then I'll do the IUI on Saturday, and timing with the work schedule won't even matter! yay for less stress. :)

Surprisingly, I'm doing better with AF showing up than Jon is. It hit him really hard, and he's not even sure he wants to do anything else. He decided that he can do one more IUI cycle, but he's not sure he has it in him for more than that. I know how he feels, as I was there a few months ago. So we may be taking a break for a few months after this one if we need to.

Sorry I haven't been around much. I went to my OB/GYN on Monday for my annual. We talked about what to do next. He seems to think that 14 cycles really isn't that long (despite the fact that I am 38 already!). But, he said that he could refer me to a fertility specialist if I wanted. He did mention that most insurances do not have any infertility coverage. So, I went home and looked into my insurance coverage. Mine does cover "Diagnosis and treatment of infertility" except for IUI, IVF, ART, GIFT. It does cover all the tests just not the actual procedure. So, I guess if this isn't our month I will go and see what the RE has to say.
I am currently on CD11 just waiting for a +OPK. Our entire family is sick with bad colds. On top of that my 3 year old woke up yesterday with hives from head to toe! So, she went for her first ever sick child Dr's appointment. It is making it difficult to get any BD in with everyone sick- but we will do our best ;)

Thanks to Sea for coming up with the great titles for our thread each month!

Thanks missy for the new thread!

Welcome to August! I have a feeling we are going to be seeing quite a few BFPs in the next week!

Welcome Mrs Chappy!

missy - hope you won't need to go see the RE!

JLR - sorry your cycle is so screwy this month again :(

Well fever is gone so that's good just have some gassy/crampy feelings. I have my checkup with my Gyn tomorrow

Mrs.Chappy oohhh Aruba, sounds like a perfect place to make a baby ;)

Me, DH and I decided we would test on Sunday if AF hasn't arrived, he has been leaving early for work, and he wants to be there when I do soooo I have to hold on till then. Then again I had a temp drop today, still above the cover line but not sure if that means that I am out this month or not???

Annette: I sure hope so!!!!!

Missy:
We talked about what to do next. He seems to think that 14 cycles really isn't that long (despite the fact that I am 38 already!).
WTF!!!!!!!! Are you serious? The “guidelines” for someone over 35 are after 6 months of trying! I’m sorry, I’m just really irritated by that doctor.
It’s good the diagonistics are covered, that will save you $$$. IF you need to see a RE next cycle, they will probably start off w/CD 3 blood work to check your FSH level which will give you a good idea of your ovarian reserve and then go from there.

Hope your household starts feeling better soon!

Mrs.Chappy: Welcome! I hope you bring back a little souvenir from your trip ;)

Thanks for the baby dust Del Sol!!!!

mel Glad the fever is gone :) Good luck at your checkup tomorrow!

mickey: Keeping things crossed for you!

jess: Ugh. I just feel for you and your DH. Trying for this long would have made most people throw in the towel long ago. Keep up the faith and I REALLY, REALLY hope this cycle is it for you!

ME: I’m starting to get a little excited which scares me. I POAS that last two days and the trigger shot was still in my system. I didn’t test today but I wish I had. I need to know when the trigger is out and a “real” reading is in, KWIM?
DH is going out of town for work tonight for a few days. I’m praying I have good news for him when he returns :D

Mickey&B
08-01-2007, 07:38 AM
Sea Man that chart looks Great!!! I think I am more excited for you than for me! So when can you tell that the trigger is out and you get a "real" reading?

08-01-2007, 08:52 AM
Sea~I agree with the others. That is a might pretty chart!

sea74
08-01-2007, 08:56 AM
I'm trying sooooooo hard NOT to get excited. I've had beautiful charts in the past that fell apart quickly. But yes, my temps are high and they very rarely get into the 98s

I don't think I can get an "accurate" reading from POAS until Friday or Saturday. YIKES! FF says I can test on 8/6.

eta: I have NO FPS at all. Just AF type cramps. Normally my BBs are super sore by now. This cycle, nada. Who knows.

akacharlotte
08-01-2007, 09:10 AM
Sea-Your chart looks great. Maybe the absence of FPS is a good sign this time.

Jess-I hope you can convince your DH not to give up yet unless you both want a break.

Missy-I thought over 35 was 6 months of TTC and then to the RE. At least he is giving you the referral even though he seems so blase about it.

Mrs Chappy- Welcome!

Mel-I'm glad your fever is gone.

Me: I have no idea what is going on. I'm back to creamy CM and my temp is not going up. I just don't know.

DelSol

Sea~I really hope this is it for you!! I have my fingers crossed.

Missy~Its a good thing that you at least have come coverage for that stuff. Dh and I were talkinga bout that yesterday. We need to look into it also. I have a feeling that the clomid won' tbe working this month either and that we will be going ot an RE next step. I am so sorry about the dr. only saying you need to wiat longer. My dr. was awesome. I saw her in Feb for a regualr checkup, and then she told me to ome back in July. Well I had great ins. while I was working so I went back about May so I wouodn't have to pay much out of pocket, and she did all the workup for me. So I was happy about that.

Well i start 150mg of clomid tonight. I hgave to go to walgeens to pick it up today. Its supposed to be like 95 tomorrow and I will be having hot flashes....oh yes. What a spectacular thign to look forward to. That is fine though at least I can keep my wakeboarding skills up since i am def. not pg. Gotta be positive somewhere. DH and I were talking about adoption lsatnight. Just discussing it if we have to go that route. But I think I want to do as much as I possibly can before going that route! We will see though!

katiems118
08-01-2007, 12:19 PM
dancn- are they upping the clomid dosage becuse you may have O'ed late? Im trying to figure out what the reasons for upping it is. I hope it works for you, and Im sorry about the hotflashes, I had some myself this clomid cycle and they suck!

dancn226
08-01-2007, 12:21 PM
yes, according to my progestrone blood test, they said it was only an 8 and that is not goo enough to be on clomid she said. She said she wnats my numbers between like 12-15. Thus the reason for u pping it. The thing is, I know its not working for me, and part of me worries that it is working against me. But we will find out right!

Sorry, I've been MIA! I just had the 2nd of my quantitative blood draws today, and hopefully I'll know tomorrow if my pregnancy is viable. I had some spotting at 15-17DPO, so I'm a little nervous -- especially considering how short my LP usually is. I've not had any spotting at all, though, for the past few days, so I'm hopeful! If the results come back the way I hope they do, I think I'll be ready to graduate.

Ferris -- OMG! That's sooo exciting! I would love twins.

dancn -- I've been reading along w/your updates and just wanted to let you know that I'm hoping that the clomid does work for you.

dancn hope the higher dosage of clomid works for this cycle, even though it makes you batty.

WELCOME! Summerbride2005 & MrsChappy :)

me
I think after today's temp. rise, FF put me back to saying that I O'ed. We did not have the best timing for BD'ing due to dh's work schedule. I'm sure hoping that dh has Super swimmers though. 2-3 more days of temping & then I'll be ready to join back in the testing group for the week of 8/5-8/12. I'm sure hoping af stays away....

Ferris,
HOLY COW!! :D:D
Congrats times 2!!!!

Welcome summerbride and MrsChappy!!

JL-
Hope you O'd and caught the egg!

sea,
Hope the rest of the week flies by for you and ends with a BFP!!

Annette,
Hope you get in touch with someone tomorrow. I'm sure you are so frustrated right now.
I hope he has good news for you!

Dancn,
Good luck with the Clomid!

MLA,
Hope you get good numbers tomorrow! Stick, baby, stick!!!

Missy,
How many months did your doctor think you should try before getting concerned? My OB told me to try the clomid after 6 months, and then if that didn't work for three cycles, I should see the RE.

Mickey,
You should be enough past your test date that you could get a BFP at night- hint, hint........;)

Double Congrats Ferris! Happy and Healthy 9 months to you.

Welcome Summerbride2005.Hope your stay is short and sweet!

Mrs.Chappy- Welcome. I moved you to "waiting to join" as we ask that members join on the first day of their cycle or at least before they have ovulated. Please feel free to post in the thread and hopefully this will be your month and you will never have to officially join. If not, then I will add you as a member when you are on CD1 of your next cycle.

I too was a bit suprised that my OB/GYN didn't think 14 cycles was that long. He asked how long it took me to get pregnant with my first child (2 cycles) and my second child (10 cycles, 8 were with charting). He felt like since my second took so long, that I should just be a bit more patient this time around. I was kind of sad that he wasn't more proactive- I really like this Dr, he is the one I had for both my pregnancies. But, he is a very laid back type Dr so I should have known that would be his opinion. I think I am going to call his office and get a recommendation and go ahead and call the RE. I figure I can always cancel the appt if I need to.

Ferris- Congrats, Congrats!!

Welcome Summerbride and MrsChappy- Hope you are not with us long!

JLRenheos- I hope AF stays away for you! Hope those temps stay up and you can join a testing group.

MLA- I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Annette- Hope you get in touch with your Dr's office and that they have good news for you!

Sea- That is one good looking chart you have there!

Dancn- I hope this is your month. I am glad that at least your doctor was a bit more proactive than mine.

Thanks girls, I appreciate all your thoughts. :)

U/s and b/w went fine this morning. I start the Follistim tomorrow, and she upped the dosage just a little bit to 125iu to see if we can get a second follie to go this time to increase our chances just a little bit.

Oh, and they switched me to Ovidrel this time, with the hopes that I'll react a lot less to it. :)

Welcome summerbride and MizLarner!!
Sorry to those AF found, and good luck to those O'ing or testing soon.

As for me, BFN this morning, followed shortly afterwards by spotting. So I'm sure AF is just around the corner.
I also got my packet from the RE for my referral. I'm now starting to freak out about how much this is going to cost. We go in for our consult on Sept 18, and DH has to go in sometime before that to give his sample so they have results for the consult.

ABirney - I really hope the spotting stops, your chart as looking so nice

Welcome mizlarner and summerbride!

Annette - hope you get some answers soon! Of course a BFP answer would be the best!!

missy - 14 months is a very long time, I don't understand why your doctor doesn't think its an issue. Hope you are able to get an appointment with the RE

Sea - what a gorgeous chart!!! I am so excited for you I'm almost bouncing out of my chair :p

aka - hope you O soon

JLR - yay for FF putting the crosshairs back! Even if your timing wasn't great you O'd!! That is so exciting!!

Me - 5DPO. I go in today for my checkup with my doctor. I am trying unsuccessfully to just not think about it. I am having some cramping but I am trying not to be pessimistic about it. We will try the clomid again and if it doesn't work we will move on to something else. My coverage is reasonable, they pay 50% of IUI and IVF but all meds are covered under my prescription plan so that will be helpful!

I'm happy to report I finally got a BFP!!! I'm excited but cautious. Cautious because of the m/c and because this BFP was so late, so I'm hoping nothing is wrong. I know last time I was there, my doc said she would want me in right away to check my levels. I hope I can get in there today.

Me: I had a temp jump this morning. I'm beginning to wonder about the accuracy of my temps. Our houseguest's alarm has been waking me up at 5am and while I don't get out of bed I feel like it is affecting my temps. Probably not but I feel that way. This morning I temped at 6am with 97.9 and then at my usual time of 6:30am and my temp was 97.6. I temped the second time because my throat was so sore when I woke up and I think during the first temp I had my mouth open. Anyway, I'm going to assume FF will call O if my temp is still up tomorrow. I had creamy CM yesterday. If FF calls O for today then we are out because its been 4 days since our last BDing. I thought about jumping DH last night (just in case) but then I just felt too tired to make the effort. I'll be really glad when our houseguest vacates. I need my normal life routine back.

Did FF give you a Triphasic yet? Are you going to test on Sunday?

I'm waiting until AF is late. So maybe Tuesday or Wed.
I had a big temp dip today, so I am not sure what to think. Darn it.

Don't lose hope. I had a temp dip that looked an awful lot like yours and got a BFP, so it's definitely possible!

Well, I just heard from the lab tech (still waiting to talk w/my doctor). The tech said that on July 30, I was at 157. Yesterday I was at 306. The doctor told me that the level should be doubling every two days, so I think I'm in the clear. I've not yet talke w/the doctor about this, though, so I'm not sure if those levels are appropriate for where I am in the pregnancy. But I'm hopeful that all is well!

MLA: Yep, the numbers are supposed to double so I'd say you're in a really good spot :D Are you going to be a March or April mommy?

It's a tough call. According to Ovusoft, my due ate is April 2. Of course, that's not the due date that using the first day of LMP would give me (it would be March 28, I believe). But when I was at the doctor's office, the nurse was working w/a student and while explaining the due date predictor wheel got confused. I told her that according to my charts, my due date would be April 2, so she said okay. I think that I may actually end up with the more "correct" due date on record w/my doctor. :)

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling a little scared right now. I got my blood drawn today and my progesterone was only a 6 so now I have to take the suppository supplements 2x per day. I find out the HCG #'s tomorrow. What should my progesterone be at this point? Tomorrow I'll be 18dpo. Then I go for another blood test Monday to make sure the #'s are doubling.

question-What's the diff btwn the HCG and Betas??

Ferris

Okay, I feel like the biggest idiot on God's green earth but here goes ... as you know I've been peeing on stuff to make sure the trigger is gone. The tests I was using were Dollar Store kinds. The test yesterday was TOTALLY NOT positive anymore. I'm talking STARK white where the second line should be. For the peace of mind I also tested this morning with the ONLY test I had left in the house, a FREP test. I just looked at it there is the FAINTEST line. And when I say faint, I mean faint but it's (barely) there.
Is this something or is this the trigger shot? It's a different brand so now I'm not sure.
It could be false because it's SO faint and it's a different brand than I've been testing with. I feel like a jerk for not knowing and for even posting this. I don't want to work anyone up. My DH is not home he's out of town on business and I'm alone.

Temp went down slightly today. Cd#20. I was playing around w/the #'s for Saturday's temp & it must be 97.61 & Up for it to give me my crosshairs back. If this rings true, then I'd be 8dpo. I was Super exhausted yesterday & took 1 1/2 hr. nap. I couldn't keep my eyes open on the way home from work.

Sea:eek: I hope it is a very faint BFP! Maybe buy more tests and test tonight? My fingers are crossed for you.
Annette I was in the exact same spot last week! I had my first blood draw at 10DPO and my hcg where fine, but my progestrone was an 8 - my dr likes it to be 10 or 11. They put me on suppositories once a day. I had another blood draw at 14DPO and my progestrone was 28.3! So try not to worry as hard as it is - the supplements can definitely help. I am still nervous b/c it is so early, but I am trying to stay positive. Hang in there! Are your supplements vaginal suppositories? If so, they aren't that bad at all:) Please keep us posted!

Oh, there is a low progestrone thread in family planning - someone in there has a healthy child and started off with a progestrone level of 5 something!

If this cycle didn;t work then we will go up to 150mg on the clomid. She is willing to do a few more cycles of clomid (total up to 6). I think if it hasn;t worked by the fall I will want to move on.

Well, according to Ovusoft, my EDD is April 2. Of course that's not what the due date is if I use the start of my last period. Then it's March 28 or something. But when I was at the doctor's the other day, the nurse was teaching someone how to use the due date predictor wheel-thingie, and she got all confused because the student kept asking her if it was April 2, and the nurse kept saying, "no, it's late March." When I told her that according to my charts, my EDD is April 2, she said okay and wrote that down. Now, the doctor never said anything about it, so I'm not 100% what they're saying my EDD is.

akacharlotte Yes, it does mean they are identical because they are in the same sac. They split somewhere from 2-12 days past o'ing and they will share a placenta sac but since each had their own yolk sac they will have their own amniotic sac. It's all so new and confusing!!

I was just staring at my chart trying to figure out if FF called my O date wrong, if I did O on Sunday then I would be 12dpo and I guess that is still early but who knows. I am not having any FPS except for my bbs are still hurting which never happens with AF but totally possible, but then I had some AF type cramps last night nothing horrible but still I was sure she would rear her ugly head this morning. melandtim So glad to hear your DR. appt. went well! Your my cycle buddy! I hope there's good news for you this cycle! I was Super exhausted as well yesterday & went straing to bed immediately. I slept for 1 1/2 hrs.

If my temp is up to 97.61 tomorrow, then I'll be ready to join the testing group!

Annette, congrats!!!!!! :D

Stacey, the advice for the feel of your nose tips and lips is pretty accurate. Hopefully you won't need to worry about it after this cycle (fingers crossed), but it's good to start at the beginning of your cycle, right after AF leaves, so you can really tell the progression. Right now, you'd be back to being Low, Hard and Closed. Around O, you'd be High, Soft and Open. It took me a few months to really be able to tell the difference, especially in the in-between stages.

I just got off the phone w/the nurse at my doctor’s office. My doctor’s out until next week, though she’s on call. Anyway, I called to see if I could have some answers about my HCG levels. I wanted to be sure that they weren’t too low (even though they were doubled and even though they’re technically in the “normal” range – but they’re on the low end of normal). Anyway, the nurse told me that the numbers I had were normal for a 1-2 weeks after conception. Well, I’m 3 weeks after conception, so I asked her what that meant. Her response? I’m only a nurse. You’ll really need to talk to your doctor. When I ask when I’ll be able to talk to my doctor, the nurse tells me next week because they won’t call her for this since it’s not an emergency. The thing is that my doctor told me they’d page her w/the results and she’d get back to me to discuss them. But they refuse to page her. I’m just really frustrated by this, ya know? I don’t want to have to go through the whole weekend w/this hanging over my head. I’m sure I’m fine. I’m sure the pregnancy’s fine, but I want my doctor to tell me that. Is that so wrong? Especially when she said she’d call me on THURSDAY to discuss the results?!? Argh!

Fly by post to say you all and the women on SAI thread are the most amazing bunch of people. I told my DH I don’t know what I’d do w/o you.

With that being said, I hope I’m not leading any of you on w/my it’s a line, maybe not a line drama.

I held my pee (wow, there’s something I didn’t think I’d ever post on a message board) all day until just now. I got myself a Dollar Store test (well a bunch of them) and another box of the FRER tests. I just took the Dollar one and there is a shadow of a line. I KNOW that I KNOW there wasn’t any line there on Thursday (I didn’t test on Wednesday) and on Tuesday, there was just barely a line there. I’m NOT going to get overly excited yet (HA!) because it still could be a fluke. I called the RE and they said they feel more comfortable with waiting 14 days to make sure the trigger is out.

They want me to come in on Monday for a Beta but I CAN NOT because I’m being called as a witness in a court trial on Monday in a city that is two hours away :( and I need to be there at 9:00. I’m going to see what I can do about that in the meantime.

I will totally be POAS again in the morning and will let you all know.

I feel like a huge drama queen right now and I apologize to you all for that.

MLA: I totally get why you need to get the a-okay from your Doc. I hope you get an answer soon.

Sea-You are most certainly not a drama queen. I am hoping beyond all hope that it is a BFP.

Ok, that trial, not nearly as important as a blood test and they should understand that. :) Hopefully, they settled out of court today and then there is no need for you to drive 2 hours.

MLA-I understand your frustration. Are you going to try to get through to them one more time or wait until Monday? I understand the agony of waiting for the phone to ring.

Sea- hoping for you!
MLA- hope the doctor calls you.

Me- I had a temp rise this morning at cd 12, very odd for me since the earliest I have EVER O'ed is cd 14. I had a ton of EWCM this morning and at lunchtime, yesterday it was not there, so Im not sure why the temp went up so much. I do have some pain that I normally get around O. Perhaps since I dropped 7 pounds it made me O earlier, even on the clomid?

Anyways, DH is self employed so he sets his own schedule, and he just so happened to be home today at lunchtime, so we had a nooner!!! So, hopefully we caught the egg, I'll try to get him again tonight, but we'll see. The early O really caught me by surprise. I was taking OPKs but never got a positive, perhaps its from all the water I have been drinking?

I called again and asked if the doctor who IS there could call me back. I got a message from the nurse saying she'd give the doctor the message but that he was booked back to back all day with patients, so it's not likely that I'll hear back from him. Patience is a virtue, right?

Hi everyone. Thanks for the sticky vibes. Just thought I would post a quick update. My HCG at 17dpo was at 53. Is this normal? No wonder the BFP took so long to show up! I just hope my #'s are doubling. Does this mean I implanted really late?? I have to ask the doc what my #s were for the last pg.

MLA-what did your doctor tell you the low end of normal was? I'm curious myself since the range on that website you posted has a low end of 6. I'm sorry that your frustrated. It is a pain trying to get in touch with the doctor. I was frustrated playing phone tag with the nurse yesterday. {{{hugs}}}

lee-thanks for sharing your experience. How long are you on the suppositories for? Mine are for 12 weeks. They are working well so far although I constantly feel wet down there.

Sea-You know what they say, a line is a line! I hope it's darker tomorrow.

katie-Hope you caught that egg!

Mickey-Your temps look good and I know how you feel! AF was 4 days late before I got the +. I'm so sorry about your friend.

mel-hope your temps stay up.

Well, you're right that 5 is the low end given on that website, which makes me think I'm fine (and that you're fine, too), but unfortunately, I've not been able to talk to my doctor to find out what she thinks about it, and the nurse said that my levels were normal for someone who's 1-2 weeks post conception, not 3 weeks. She then went on to say that she couldn't tell me if it was a normal, viable pregnancy and that I'd have to talk to my doctor. I'm seriously considering moving over to a different practice right now -- there's a birthing center near me that I've heard wonderful things about, and apparently their midwife staff is awesome.

Annette Crossing my fingers for doubling numbers! I'm not sure what normal would be for 17DPO.
sea Hope you get a nice dark line soon!
mel Glad your dr appt went well.
JLR Hope you're tired for a good reason!
mickey hope AF stays away!
MLA Sorry your dr's office is being such a pain. Hope you get answers soon.
katie Hope you catch that egg!

As for me, still waiting for AF to show. Still definitely spotting so she should be here soon. I picked up my next round of Femara, so I start that on CD3.
I'm seriously considering not charting this next cycle. I don't know if that would be more or less stressful... I've charted every day for almost 3 years so maybe I'd be worse not knowing what's going on, but I think I'll try it. Just want to take a break before heading to the RE next month. I'll probably also just lay low in here and just read along for the most part. I guess I'll play it by ear and see what happens.

Well, my temp was .03 degrees away from FF giving me back my crosshairs today. Looks like I'll have to wait till tomorrow... Today's temp was 97.58 & I wished it were 97.61 instead. I would be 8dpo today. hrmp. So close!...
Anything above a 97.50 for tommorrow will call it for me. I had a temp drop on 7dpo/Fri.. hmm,...
I've been gassy the last few days :blushing: & was Super exhausted one day this week. I've had some twinges here & there. Who knows, maybe af could be on it's way?

08-04-2007, 05:02 AM
I temped an hour earlier today because I just couldn't sleep. And all night I had bad dreams. Gee, wonder why?

Anyway, my temp is lower just a *smidge* and it was taken an hour earlier

I tested using both kinds of test and they both still have the faintest of lines on them. I just really don't think it could be the trigger 12 days later. However, the line is not any darker, just still there and faint.

This is what happened during my March cycle when I kept testing after my doctor was so hopeful. I saw a few days of super faint lines and then AF showed us and it was globby and tissue-like :( I'm going to try and be hopeful but honestly I just feel like crying. If the lines had gotten darker, it would be a totally different set of emotions (duh  )

Anyway, hope you all don't mind the lack of shoutouts ...

I can't wait until DH gets home tomorrow! I need him.

sea,
It is still so, so early!!

I hope this isn't out of line....
Okay, when you had your IUI's, you hadn't O'd, right? At least for the first one?
I think that's what I remember.
So you know you O'd more like Tuesday or Wed, right?
So go back in to FF and change the method to research or enter your O date manually.
Then you will feel better about your chart I think.
I really hope you get a BFP tomorrow that is dark! But a faint line is still a line- especially if you are really only 10dpo or so.

I'm sorry you are down.

I'm having AF cramps this morning, so I'm down, too!

Plus, I saw my sister's twin u/s yesterday and it really made me want to be pg so badly!!

Anyway, I'm glad your DH is coming home tomorrow!
Stay busy today and try to have a little fun!!

JennZ: You are NOT out of line. You're right, I do think FF called my O date too early. I'm going to keep thinking, hoping and praying good thoughts. I ended up running out to the bagel place and got myself a high-calorie breakfast (bagel w/strawberry cc, choco. milk, a diet coke and a WHOLE lot better now. If not this month, then another month ... but until AF shows I'm going to hold out hope for an unexpected blessing :) I guess the ONE good thing about TTC this long is I'm actually getting quicker at "moving on" from a bad cycle/negative thoughts.

I can't imagine what it's like to have to process both of your sister's PGs, let alone TWINS :D I *know* you're happy for them but I know it's gotta be hard for you at the same time.

Thanks Heidi :)

Mrs. Chappy: If it's just spotting don't count today as CD1. Wait until you have red "flow."

The expensive, FRER test has NO line, not even a faint one :(

This is almost starting to be comical
I'm going to call the after-hours RE number today and see if they have any advice. I HATE that I have to be in court tomorrow morning.

I'm not feeling so hotsy-totsy today ladies. I took Tums w/me to work today for the heartburn/indigestion. It seems to be helping just a wee bit. Heartburn started up 2 days ago.

Diarrhea has hit me HARD & out of nowhere. Going 7Xs in 1 hr. is enough!
I wish I was at home today. My bottom hurts. :(
I sure hope these are preg. symptoms & not just being sick in general.

I'm wondering if the reason why my chart keeps changing is because I don't have a Red solid line, but a dotten line instead. I certainly do have a quite a few temps below my CL. BTW, I have NEVER felt like this before any Af at all.

sea Yay!!!:D

eta-MLA I'm so sorry that this is happening to you. ((hugs))

eta-tealyn I hope you're not right about me having another annov. cycle. I'd like to see a bfp this month. Only time will tell...

MLA:( Did your dr ever get back to you? I hope so. It sounds like you had to wait too long to get answers - that is not how it should be. I am so sorry that you think the pg is not sticking - I thought your #s were looking good?

No, she didn't. But I started bleeding heavily and cramping Sunday morning (while we were in Virginia -- 4 hours from home). I've been bleeding w/clots ever since, and the cramping's been really bad. I managed to get into the doctor today. My doctor wasn't in, but I saw another one. They did an ultrasound and found no evidence of a pregnancy (though she said my ovaries look good  ). When I talked to the doctor, he said that the bleeding I'm experiencing is likely the loss of the pregnancy. They drew some blood to confirm that my numbers are doing what he expects they're doing, which is going down. So, yeah, it looks like I've miscarried. I've been a mess.

I guess I will go ahead and join this group:

CC Name: hiphopgirl
Me: Janet
DH: Jack
Married since: May 4, 2002
Off BCP since: July 2005
TTC since: July 2007
Charting (off and on) since: Oct. 2005
Known issues: M/C in June 2007
Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6e820
Current status: waiting to O

I think I am waiting to O. Actually I think I have O'd already, but FF isn't calling it yet and the OPK is still reading positive. I feel weird obsessing about this since I already have a child, but after my m/c in June I am crazy worried that I won't get pg again, or if I do that I won't stay pg.

I think I need to be around other people who sort of get why I am being OCD this time around. Wish me luck ladies, and if any of you have any opinions about whether or not I've O'd I'd love to hear them. Thanks.

Welcome hiphopgirl! I agree with JennZ and think you probably O'd last night or this morning.

me - Temp dropped this morning. It's making me question if I really O'd or not. Guess I will know if it goes back up or stays down. Our timing is bad and I think it's a little early for implantation dip. My temp rise was not huge to begin with so....

Just when I thought the drama was behind me ...

Good news:
Here today’s BFP!!!! It looks darker in person. I’m a dork and I took the test with me today
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1078/1033789163_fa7dd9e0d3.jpg?v=0

Bad News:
The RE called and left a message on my cell phone and I didn’t get it until after 6:00 because we couldn’t have cell phones in the court building. Although I’m PG, my progesterone is only 3.2  :( He called in a proscription for me and wanted me to take it as soon as I could. He said the next few days will be telling.

I’m angry because I had my progesterone tested several days after I Oed and my Progesterone was okay. I have NOT spotted AT ALL this cycle and you know I’m the queen of spotting. I thought I was in the clear and so did the RE. I’m stressed, angry, upset and scared. But for right now I’m going to take tealyn’s advice and try and enjoy this:

Try to allow yourself to enjoy these early exciting days of getting a BFP.

Thanks Missy, JLRenheos, JennZ, Heidi, Annette, Filmgirl, kanga, tealynn, DelSol, Ferris, DianeCourt, akacharlotte, dancn, raven, Mickey, lee, sparkle&shine, ABirney for the congrats :D I hope this is real and sticks around!!!!

Me - My chart shows an O this month which I didn't expect but that also means that AF will be here when we move (we have almost no chance of pg this cycle). I've already warned DH that I'm going to be WAY emotional and cranky while we're moving and I hope his family will just think it's stress.

I'm sorry JLR:(. Keep an eye on your CM and when you start getting EW or watery, pull out the OPKs again. Have you talked to your doctor about treatment for PCOS? Taking meds could make all the difference in getting BFP!

SeaYeah! What great news, but I know exactly how you feel about the dark cloud of low progestrone hanging over you - as hard as it is, try not to worry too much. Were you able to start the suppositories? After 3 days on them (once a day) my progestrone went from 8 to 28.3 so they definitely work. They aren't too bad either just a bit messy, but well worth it! There are some positive stories in the low progestrone thread in family planning. Definitely pop in there. I am thinking sticky thoughts for you!

DianeCourt
08-07-2007, 07:50 AM

Steve's Sweety: Thanks! I just hope it sticks. I'm so nervous! I've been following along w/your PG in your mommy group ;)

Lee: I read that thread last night and it was WAY more hopeful than what I was reading on the Internet. Mine is just SO LOW so I'm not sure what's going to happen.

DianeCourt: The only symptoms I'm having are cramps. I hope this sticks.

Kopper: hope the chart clears things up for you soon! Good luck!

sea,
Hang in there, sweetie! :)
I'm really thinking extra-sticky thoughts for you!
A little spotting right about now would be totally normal.

I think we are going to take a break from charting next cycle. We are going on vacation at the end of the month, and I don't think I will be able to accurately temp anyway. So it just makes sense to take a break for a month.

lee60657
08-07-2007, 12:18 PM
Sea I know I read the same horrible things on the internet that you did - but keep in mind that no website/dr/nurse is going to say that progestrone supps are a surefire way to maintain a pg. Just know that if there was no hope, your dr would not have prescribed them for you. I am glad you read the positive stories in that thread - it is always nice to hear stories with happy endings:) I really hope yours has a happy ending! Are you going in for another blood draw to see if your progestrone levels are up?

I hope the spotting goes away - but it is really normal to spot this early on....my fingers are crossed for you!

JennZHave fun on your vacation!

eta-Tealynn I just had my annual exam over a week ago. He's referred me to se an RE. I have my appt. set up w/them already for Sept. 12. I haven't been taking anything to help treat my PCOS. So far, I just take the Provera to induce my Af.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'm frustrated that FF hasn't given me an O date yet so I cheated and put in a placeholder temp for tomorrow just so I could see those cross hairs. Neurotic much? So technically I'm waiting to O, but in my head I am 2DPO and waiting to test.

sea - I hope that the progesterone works for you. I'm sending good thoughts your way.

Annette- I am keeping you in my thoughts. I hope you get good news on Monday.

JLRenheos- Sorry that you are having a bad day. Hopefully the RE will be able to help in September.

JennZ- Hope you have a good vacation. Enjoy your month off from charting.

Sea- Hope things are going well.

-----------------------------
Me- Well, I am either 6DPO or 4DPO. I was sick last week and my sleep was crappy. I woke up early and temped and then fell asleep and woke up at my normal time and temped. I knew I shouldn't do that because I got 97.3 and then 97.7. So, depending on which temp I use my O date was either CD12 or CD14. Anyway, I plan to test the week of August 12-18. I just have this feeling that this is not our month- again.:( If it isn't our month I will be calling the RE for an initail appt.
