Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with heat rash? I haven't had it for 20 years or so but have had 2 bouts with it this summer and I am gonna scratch myself silly if I don't do something about it.

do you have an air conditioner? i would get one, even a small one, if you could. i suffer from heat rash after being outside in hot weather for just half an hour, and i would probably end up in the hospital if i didn't have an AC for several weeks or months.
ice packs help, but they're a temporary solution. cold wet towels applied to the rash. benadryl if you're allergy-prone, i find, tends to help reduce inflammation in general, at least for me.

Do you live in a very humid area? I get heat rash from a combination of heat and humidity. Keeping my skin not just cool but dry as well helps. Maybe try some baby powder?

Hi there, the area where I live is generally dry but it has been really humid lately and very hot (+37 celcius). I don't have air conditioning as we have a boiler system for heating so no ducts. The first time I had an episode I thought they were ant bites as I had been gardening and found an ant hill but I wasn't gardening in the past couple of days so figure it is heat rash. I will make sure to keep dry and the weather is going to be much cooler today so that should help. I appreciate your suggestions.
