I don't post often, but I have reached wits end with our current "pending" real estate transaction.
Long story short, it took us two months to come to a deal and once that was done, the sellers have been slow to do everything. We had an inspection and tried to get a P&S signed within a few days, but for various reasons, got an extension by two days. We signed within the time frame (this past Tuesday evening) and turned it over to their broker for signature.
Now it's Thursday afternoon and we have yet to see an executed copy. The attorneys and selling broker tell us not to worry, but we can't put our house on the market until everyone has signed off.
The sellers are on vacation, so they're somewhat difficult to reach, but they picked up the paperwork yesterday AM with a return Fed Ex envelope.
My question is, has anyone been through this before, and do you think we have reason to be concerned?
