I did. It was ok. Kinda slow. I'm going to watch the other show on Fox to see which one I like.
Joey should try out for Price is Right. Love his enthusiasm!
Those dancing girls were annoying. I told DH that I didn't know why they were there and he said they were the "Bees" and eye candy for the men.

Yeah, they're called the "Honey Bees". I didn't like those girls either. I think Joey would be great for the Price is Right too!!
I liked the idea of the show, they just need more to it.

Eh. It was okay. I was really suprised at how many lyrics I thought I knew, but really don't. lol
There is a similar show tonight on Fox. It's called Don't Forget The Lyrics. It looks better than Singing bee.
Tonight:
Singing Bee at 8:30
Don't Forget Lyrics 9:30

I didn't watch it, but I agree with those of you who've said Don't Forget the Lyrics looked better. I'm going to watch that tonight. I was put off by the dancing girls when I saw the previews. Just doesn't seem like my cup of tea. I hope the one tonight is good.

I saw the commercial for "don't forget the lyrics" or whatever and it looks interesting. I didn't even know the other show existed, I'll have to check them both out.

I watched it. It was ok-kinda silly but held my interest in a way.
I thought Joey was great!

I watched it and it was far worse than I thought it'd be. The first round isn't really fair (people at the end of the line might not get a chance to sing at all), and at least two of the songs were also on Karaoke Revolution. Kinda lazy, IMO.
Maybe Fox's version will be better.

My DH was diggin' them. Then again, if he didn't I would have been a little concerned. :p
I love Joey's enthusiasm too and I agree that he would be great on The Price is Right. What I didn't think was fair last night was that some songs were more recognizable than others. It just depended on the luck of the draw.

Re-run last night. That was crap! I did like Don't Forget the Lyrics a lot better.

Ii watched it last night. I won't watch again. I thought it was awful. The only thing that kept me from changing the channel immediately was Joey. He's fun and I like him. Hopefully, he'll find a better gig bc Ii give this show about 2 weeks before it's cancelled!

We did watch this one, but we watched Don't Forget The Lyrics which we both really liked. Although, that girl's singing was PAINFUL.

I much preferred Don't forget the lyrics over this one.

I liked Don't Forget the Lyrics a lot more than Singing Bee! Though that girl on last night couldn't carry a tune in a bucket!! Man she is awful, but she knows her lyrics. I was singing "Joy to the World" the rest of the night. :D

I watched Singing Bee with DS, and we really enjoyed it. He liked singing together and bouncing around.
Then I turned to Don't Forget the Lyrics and was disappointed that it wasn't as energetic as Singing Bee. But by the end of the show, I liked it.

I don't think Singing Bee will get canceled yet because they ranked #1 in their timeslot on Tuesday. Not sure if they will start dipping because of the weak premise.
The Fox show is better. It does have elements of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire to it (stage, semi-scary lights, lifelines, tiered awards chart etc). At least they don't have the annoying girls!
I still think we should start a petition to have CBS hire Joey for The Price is Right!
