Help! DD is turning one in a month and I am trying to find ideas for her birthday cake. I don't really have any ideas and am having trouble finding pictures I like on the internet. I am hoping that you guys may have some pictures to share of your daughters' birthday cakes. I am thinking of a panda or a Sanrio character but am open. I would like something "cute and girly" though. :)

TIA!

BooeyJ2 had a fantastic Asian themed party for her DD that featured pandas. You can see all the stuff she did in the First Birthday Parties Ideas! (part 1) thread starting here (http://www.constantchatter.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5832&highlight=booey+cake&page=25). The cake is posted here (http://www.constantchatter.com/forum/showpost.php?p=620314&postcount=489). You can make something like that (and probably modify it for Hello Kitty) by using the Wilton Stand-Up Cuddly Bear Pan (http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=3E3107B0-475A-BAC0-5F59D22F3E911FFB&fid=3E32C85B-475A-BAC0-54A2CF7F8713F5BD). I've seen the large and mini versions at Hobby Lobby.

You should also check out the Ever More First Birthday Party Ideas--Part 4! (http://www.constantchatter.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33362) thread for tons of ideas.

Just use the search function and search for the word "cake" in the first birthday threads.

Thanks for the tip, but I've done that and it brings up a ton of links and not all of them is what I am looking for. I am just looking for some pictures of cakes.

Here's (http://www.birthdaypartycakes.com/cake_examples.html) a link to the place where I ordered DD's cake from. She has a ton of examples.

Is this like something you are looking for?

Thanks for the link JKI! I live in the Bay Area too - were you happy with Tonja's cakes?

I was delighted with Tonja's cakes. Her prices were much better than the gourmet market's, I love that she delivers, the cake was moist and delicious and the decor awesome. We ordered a Dora cake from her, as well as cupcakes for our playgroup.

www.cakecentral.com is a great website for cake ideas. You will have to register, but they won't send you spam or anything. You can even do a search on "panda" (or whatever you want) for just panda cakes.

Please post all birthday party related questions in the master birthday party thread. (http://www.constantchatter.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33362)

You can post your question at the end. Most people will be more than happy to help you find an answer, sometimes remembering something specific from another thread. :)
