I did a quick search and didn't come up with anything.
Has anyone thrown or been thrown an online baby shower? My BFF just had her first baby and she lives overseas. We decided to have a shower for her after baby because she didn't know what she was having and wanted stuff to be gender specific.
I did google 'virtual baby shower', but I didn't like a couple of the sites that it directed me to.
Any suggestions?
I was thinking either:
~Inviting people here with the gifts that they've bought... we'd wrap everything up and send it to her in a big box. Except that only 1/3rd of the people live close to me, everyone else lives all over.
~Directing people to her registry and allowing them to buy whatever they want from there... but then what?
~Have people send all the money to me (via Paypal or whatever) and we would just pool all the money together and get her things from her registry that she really wanted. But again... then what?

I would love any suggestions or ideas!

TIA!

We had a virtual shower on our due date thread. For us it was different since we were only buying for 1 person not everyone on the thread. But we swapped info and the person assigned to a person looked at the registry and bought something off it and either sent it through the registry website or bought it at the store and sent it snail mail to the member, when they received it they opened it and posted their thanks on the board.

For your real life virtual, I would just have the registry info go out and let her friends buy gifts from it sent directly to her, maybe have it a specific day that they have to be out by.
