I've decided to plan a quick trip to Toronto for this coming weekend- it's only about a 7-hour drive, and we need a break. We'll probably drive there Friday morning and return home on Sunday.
So- what are your favorite things to do and see in Toronto??

I grew up just outside of T.O!
This weekend is a civic Holiday, so be prepared for a fair bit of traffic.
Is it just you and DH? Do you have kids? What kinds of things do you like to do?
There are all kinds of 'towns' (China, little Italy, Greek, etc.) And they all have cool restaurants and such.
The harbourfront/lakeshore/high park area if you want to walk.. You can take a pathway about 20km along the lake in front of the city.
Casa Loma - castle built in the city in the early 1900's.
Here is a link to the Toronto.com (http://www.toronto.com/section/attractions/) attractions!
Have fun!

I second geek's cimment about traffic. This is a holday weekend and it will be crazy on Friday and Monday for sure. Make sure you have a mpa and know where you are wanting to head first or you may end up on the wrond 400 series highway.
They also have a Zoo that is alot of fun, and if you haven't been you should go up the CN tower just for the experience. (if you are scared of heights don't go, it can be scary up that high)

Thanks for the advice- I didn't realize that it was a holiday!
It's just DH and I- we don't have kids- and we're pretty easy to please- love different kinds of food, bookstores, and anything outside- the harborfront walk that lil_geek mentioned sounds good.

If you like hockey, don't miss the Hockey Hall of Fame. :)
The Hockey Hall of Fame is a lot of fun.
The CN Tower is nice. If the Blue Jays are in town, you could also catch a baseball game.
For night time activities, there is a Second City Comedy Theatre in Toronto and lots of really great places to eat at.
