Has anyone had much luck with this food for your cat? My little Fluff doesnt seem to care for the canned but actually likes the dry food. The canned food seems dry, is this right?

I never had any luck with the K/D wet, my cat wouldn't touch it. If your kitty is in the early/moderate stages of renal failure, I'd look for a wet food that is made from a quality protein but low in phosphorous (because they need to be well hydrated, that dry doesn't do that). Here's a chart for you (http://webpages.charter.net/katkarma/canfood.htm) of the phosphorus and protein values in the canned foods. I'd probably start trying the Innova Lite and the Wysong flavors, if those don't fly with kitty, I'd work down the "PREMIUM FOODS - High Quality, NO By-Products" list.

How's your kitty doing?

Thanks for the response. My kitty is doing awesome. She has gained a lot of the weight back that she lost and she looks healthier now then she has in years. She is really quite active again and her appetite has picked up. We havent had much luck with the low protein diet. As of now she has the K/D dry out all day and she nibbles but we also feed her several cans of "regular" food a day. The vet said it's better to get the food in then to worry about it being the low protein.

Thanks for your tips. Im going to check those out.

Krissy-Hills really does put a lot of work into there food to make sure it really will help the cats and dogs. i would stick with that or what the vet tells you.
i'm glad kitty is doing better :)
