So, I really want to scan some of my wedding pictures so I can finally post them on here. It took forever to get them back (1 year) plus I have some a bunch of loose photos from a friend that are good.

Does anyone know of a good place to get a inexpensive or even used scanner that would just get my pictures onto my computer!! I don't think I need anything fancy.

We have a scanner/printer by HP.
HP PSC 1315 All-in-One

it was $100

Do you like HP? We already have 2 printers and a Sony picture printer (that I can't get to work!), so I can't get another printer. However, I will check out the HPs, if you think its a good brand.

I have always had HP products and they have worked great.

I also use Lexmark (at work) but I believe they are only toner cart. which gets pretty expensive (each toner is about $100)

2kCougar that looks really neat. i didn't know they made special scanners for photographs. does it make a difference? i really am only planning to use it for photos and sometimes for recipes so i don't have to type them out.

i guess i should hold out on the one for $40. i really didn't want to spend too much, but i didn't know you could get a special photo scanner.

I have an HP flatbed scanner that I bought right after our wedding (almost three years ago) so I could scan in our wedding photos. It has been really great. :)

The scanner works very well with photos b/c of the resolution. It also has great software (although I still use photoshop) and is fab for making enlargements from negatives. I think that they call it a photo scanner b/c of the resolution.

Thanks! I think I am going to look for this scanner or get it off Amazon.

The HP's look nice, but they are more expensive so I think for now, I will have to go with the one that is the least expensive.

Thanks for all the recommendations!

Canon CanoScan N1220U USB Flatbed Scanner - $40 I *think* this is the one we have at home. I know it's a Canon. I don't use it a lot, and when I do, it's mostly for pictures. It works great for me. I didn't know there were special ones for pictures either.
