How long does alcohol last?

I have some vodka that has been around for three years. Does it go bad? It has tasted good in the drinks that I have made, but I am just curious.

I know beer has a shelf life, but I'm not sure on alchohol (and I was a bartender at one point!). We've had some bottles for years and people seem unfazed by that when they are drinking them on holidays. ;)

Alcohol, such as vodka, gin, tequila, is supposed to last for decades, even after they are opened. Cream based items, such as Bailey's, should have expiration dates printed on them.

I found some smaller bottles that I had from a bachelorette party three years ago. Do not want them to go to waste. :)

My parents bought all their own alcohol for their 1971 wedding and apparently had plenty left over. They finally finished it all off by having a big bash... on their 25th anniversary! Everything tasted just fine.
