We are having a clam boil this afternoon ant though I've been to many, I've never hosted one. There are so many variations of clam boil recipes on the internet.

Does anyone have a favorite recipe? Any tips?

We have red potatoes, Chourico, Linguica (both are Portuguese sausages, for all you non New Englanders ;)) onions, corn and 20 lbs of clams.

Oh, and butter, of course. :)

I always make clams casino when my parents have their annual clam bake. I've never heard it called a clam boil. I'm from NY.

We make NE clam chowder the day after with the leftovers. On the evening of the clam bake we always have spaghetti with clam sauce.
