Hello ladies,
It's summer, it's beautiful, and I need your help! I have purchased three pairs of shoes this summer-- a pair of ballet flats, a pair of low-ish wedge sandals from Nine West, and a pair of wedge sandals from Born. All seemed comfortable and soft in the store, but have not been a good match for my daily commute to work. You see, I walk both ways to work--6 miles total--and the shoes that I have already bought have caused blisters, cuts, and general foot pain. I'm not usually the type of person that would buy three pairs of shoes in one summer, but each pair of shoes has just not worked out for me. The ballet flats had elastics that were very tight and caused painful blisters; the Nine West shoes were comfortable for short walks but for longer walks, the straps rubbed against the tops of my feet causing abrasions, and the Born sandals tipped my feet uncomfortably, making my toes rub against the leather and causing blisters on the bottom of my toes. Yuck. too bad, cause they're all cute.
So, do you have any ideas for sandals/summer shoes that are both comfortable to walk in and can be used in the office? Our workplace is fairly casual, but I still don't want to wear anything too sneaker-y--just something that would look nice with either skirts or capri pants, which is what I generally wear. I would love your help--and if I can't find anything, I will just store the shoes I've already bought in my desk and can be the white sneaker-and-sock clad lady walking to work. Yikes, but oh well!
Thanks for your help--from both me and my feet!
