Yeah, yeah, I started watching. :o

And then, our power went out on the whole street. Please tell me what happened when the 20's came in.

DAMN! I got home late last night and totally forgot to watch this. I was so looking forward to it! We need to get TiVo.

I am fully convinced a 20s girl will win, and for one reason--he's going to like a 40s girl, she's going to admit she wants a baby immediately, and that's going to freak his shit out. (Do I know men or what? J/K.)

They just revealed the 20 somethings last night at the close of the show, so no introductions were made and the 40 somethings don't yet know that they're there.

Well good, sounds like I didn't miss the fireworks!

Who did he dismiss?

I missed the 1st episode, but want to watch it. Just set up a series recording. I love trashy reality TV. :o

I didn't watch it and don't really plan to but I had to come in and mention that one of the 40-somethings named Jen is my friends Aunt! :D

i think his face was priceless as the older ladies kept coming out. He looked so uncomforatble and so annoyed. I know he's saying now, that he can see past age blah blah blah, but man, his face gave it all away!! hahahaha!

DH and I watched this (he's a big tennis fan). It is SO trashy, but hilarious. One of the 40s women said something like, "It's so scary to think of leaving, b/c the woman who is sent home could be alone forever." Oh please! You're 40, not 80!

I saw the 2nd episode and am hooked. It's good summer trash TV. I thought it was hysterical how no one was talking when he was in the hot tub with the 20s and then they showed the camera on the 40s in the house partying it up. The roller skating thing grossed me out... I don't know what it was - maybe the outfits or something?

I definitely like the personalities/attitudes/mind sets of the 40s, and in some cases, I think they are prettier than some of the 20s, but I have a gut feeling he'll choose a 20-something. Probably the one with the ginormous implants.

Speaking of her ginormous implants, did they seem really uneven to anybody else in Monday's episode, or is it just me??

Um, they were just a bad job, period!

DH said, "why does he have to get rid of one of each?", to which I replied, "so that he doesn't get rid of all the 40's right away". Duh, he's not a reality tv junkie like me. :o

Her left one seemed higher, right? Yeah, just a bad job in general.

Im hooked on this trashy show too. Sometimes I feel bad for the main person because they think they are coming on a normal Bachelor-type show, and really they are on some uber trashy wannabe show. I was peeing myself laughing when they were sitting in the hottub in silence...just goes to show how much editing we see and how the music and voice-overs really do play a huge part in these shows!!
The only thing that I feel upset about was how he got rid of one 40' y.o before the 20's came on, so now the groups are uneven.

I thought there were originally 7 40's. Then he got rid of one and they brought on 6 20's so both groups were even. I remember thinking that it was uneven, but when I watched and counted, I thought I came up with 6 20's. Could be wrong, though.

If that Mary chick doesn't stop crying every 5 minutes...ugh, get a grip, girl! I have been shocked for the past 2 weeks that she hasn't been eliminated, but I chalk it up to the fact that he hasn't spent much time with her. Hopefully next week he'll see what a piece of work she is & get rid of her. She drives me crazy.

And OMG how funny was it watching Mark kiss one woman after another tonight - especially Jayanna, who really went all out and tried to impress him with her kissing skills. :p And when someone mentioned that he had glitter on his lip...LOL! But at the same time - eeew, I don't think I'd wanna be the last woman to spend my 5 minutes with Mark knowing he was probably kissing most if not all of the ones who went before me. Ick!

I was really shocked that he sent Tessa home. I thought his reason was really dumb, considering after seeing her on that date she actually seemed quite interesting and maybe even a little intelligent. I like Amanda...kinda, even though her mouth really annoys me, it's so huge!!! But she seems way too insecure for being on this kind fo show.

LOL, did you see the preview for next week...."There's something about Mary" and they cut to like 5 sepearte scenes of her crying!! LMAO!!!

Mary is channeling Jen from BB8. What a bunch of cry babies there are this Summer season. Get a grip!

I forgot to watch this week!

Yes, the one with the ginormous implants makes me uncomfortable. Her implants are so big, it hurts just looking at them.

What is up with Maria changing her mind over and over again about whether she wants to stay or wants to leave?

Maria... whatever. Bad form.

Did you see this picture (http://www.nbc.com/Age_of_Love/photos/#cat=296&sec=943&mea=23989) of Jayanna in her 20's at the Age of Love website?

I think he's going to pick the hockey dancer gal. Just have this feeling...

wow Maria totally shafted Mary!! If I were the other ladies in the house, young or old, I'd be watching my back because of Maria....she *cannot* be trusted!!!

And Amanda's lip seriously creep me out!!

I can't believe I'm still watching this show. I'm such a sucker!

I can't stand Mark. I don't find him remotely attractive, and when he opens his mouth it's just the nail in the coffin for me. Odd, because I generally find Australian accents really sexy...but when Mark speaks it just sound like he perpetually has a cold. Ugh.

He is totally going to pick Amanda. Guys who go on shows like these usually end up picking the girl who worships him.

I'm so glad Mary and her chronic crying are gone!!

Maria is seriously whack. Change your mind a few more times, would ya??

Oddly, I think Jayanne is a good match for him. She seems really immature at times, yet confident. That's probably a good combo for Mark.

I can't remember who the other girls are. Oh yea! The old Laker chick (Jen). Damn, she has a hot body for a 48 year old. I think Mark is really attracted to her, but I don't think he'll be able to get past her age.

I spend way too much time analyzing reality shows! :)

im surprised that he sent jayanna packing. but i think that just confirmed that he's going to pick amanda. teh way they snuggle in bed together and nuzzle and talk, it seems like he's told her he's going to pick her, but he's just riding out the rest of the girls for the sake of the show.
maria drives me nuts adn last night was insane! what a wacko hippy! giving them all that much to drink was a bad bad idea! LOL

I can't believe I've been sucked into this show over the past few weeks. It's so bad, but I have to watch the trainwreck. :p

Very bummed he sent Jayanna home, she had actually seemed like a decent match for him. I think what she told the girls was right on and Amanda was so immature to use it against her. It's no brainer that he is going to pick Amanda, who, by the way, I do not find attractive at all.

I was shocked, too. I honestly think that Amanda is the manipulative one. She keeps playing the "I'm so naive," card. blah, blah, blah!

I got roped in to this 2 weeks ago! I wonder how bruised Mark's ego is- down to the final four where they should all be clamoring, and he gets one person who eliminates herself- even though he says she'd stay! and another who dumps him cause she cant' fly ( I think she was leaving anyway.) But still!
I have to say I have no real idea who he will pick but I do think it would be odd if he were with a 48 year old. Don't know why.. and I guess that's the point of the show to dispel those presumptions. The finale should be interesting. I'll watch the last 10 minutes.

I have to say, I'm feeling rather crushed right now.
I SO wanted Jen to win. I could not stand Amanda.
Grrrr.
I know that somewhere I knew that he would pick the younger girl because of his desire to start a family and all, but then he got my hopes all up when he began to have such strong feelings for Jen. She is so much more that Amanda could be.
Ah well, I guess that is how these shows end up making you feel. Ha.

I didn't like Amanda either, so I was sort of pulling for Jen, too. However, I was really not surprised when he didn't pick her. Sure, she looks awesome now for a 48-year old woman, but what will she look like in 10-20 more years, when he's 40-50 and she's almost 60-70? Also if he wants to have kids, that probably isn't an option with her.

But Amanda really bugged me throughout the whole season, so I was kind of bummed to see him pick her. She seems shallow and young, and I didn't see much between them other than physical atraction (but that could just be due to editing).

I was sad he picked Amanda, she just annoyed me. However, I can understand why he picked someone younger. I think the show would have made more sense for a 30 year old to be choosing from women in their 20's and 30's. Still older vs younger, but still of child bearing age.

Sad to say, but if Jen was like 38 - 42...she would have had a chance. Being 48, that was just a bit *too* much of a gap. Of course you would pick someone who was only 5 years different in age over someone who is 18 years different (older or younger...though I guess 18 years younger would get the guy in serious trouble.) ;)

They should have made this a bit more realistic, like maybe using a 35 year old guy, and having the ages go from 25 - 45. Now, then there may be a chance. :) Not a 30 year old guy...
