I did not want to look in one of the other Harry Potter threads in case there were spoilers about the new one.
Can anyone give me a quick summary of what happened at the end of Order of the Phoenix? I just started the new one and these books come out so far apart that I forgot how the other even ended! Thanks!!

I don't have it in front of me, but I just re-read it a couple of weeks ago...
Obviously, since the OP requested the end of the book, these are BOOK 5 SPOILERS. :)
Harry became convinced Sirius was trapped in the Ministry of Magic. He, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny, and Luna road the thestrals to the MM, and found the room Harry had seen in dreams (the prophecy storage room). A bunch of Death Eaters showed up and tried to get the prophecy. Much fighting ensued, and members of the Order showed up to help fight (Snape had alerted them that Harry was going to the MM). During the fighting, the prophecy was destroyed (without anyone hearing it) and Sirius was killed by his cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange. Voldemort showed up and was attacking Harry, then Dumbledore appeared and fought him off. V. possessed Harry for a brief period, trying to get DD to kill Harry in the hopes of destroying Voldemort. However, Voldemore stopped the possession quickly, b/c (as Dumbledore explains at the end) he can't stand to possess someone protected by the magic of love (significantly less cheesy when DD says it, but I can't remember the wording...).
Back at Hogwarts, DD explains the prophecy was made by Trelawney, to DD. The prophecy says that the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the 7th month dies, to parents who have defied V. 3 times, and V. would mark him as his equal. And it ends with something like "neither can live while the other survives."
DD then explains that the prophecy is meaningful only b/c V. chose to make it so. He heard only the beginning of the prophecy (didn't hear the "mark as his equal" bit or after). Neville and Harry were both born to parents who had defied V. 3 times, so V. essentially "picked" Harry.
So Harry realized he had to be the one to defeat Voldemort.
And I think that was pretty much it. :)

This might also be useful: http://www.hp-lexicon.org/about/books/op/book_op.html
The HP lexicon is a very reliable site, even Rowling has confessed to looking stuff up there, when she's feeling lazy :)
