My DH has said that he has THREE ideas on what I am going "love" for our wedding anniversary. We just bought a house and I would much rather not get each other anything and simply put the money toward the house (the sheets we need for the guest room, paint for the spare bedrooms, etc.). But he's horrible with money and I can't convince him of the no gift idea. I am putting a limit on it and only want to spend $50-$100. But now, I have NO CLUE what to get him. I know that it's supposed to be paper, but I don't care about that.
We are using a wedding gift and are going to stay in Lake Geneva (free hotel and GC to a restaurant). So the time away thing is already done.
I think I'm normally pretty thoughtful when it comes to gifts, but this time I don't have any ideas. Any ideas?

redenvelope.com has some neat things. They are also having a sale right now. So you might want to just browse through all the sale stuff.
Good luck!

If you are going away, how about buying yourself some pretty lingerie and modeling it for him on your trip? That stuff is always a gift for the guy, no matter what they tell us. ;)

I got my DH a gift certificate for a golf lesson with a golf pro. He loves golf, but doesn't get a chance to play that often. It is more than your budget, but I'm sure there are other options you could find to meet his interests.
I made sure the GC was paper so I'd be "compliant." ;)
we were in the process of buying a house on our first anniversary, so we didn't have a lot of extra money either. i wrote him a letter expressing how much he meant to me as my gift to him.

I'm always making stuff for gifts. For my husband's birthday I just made him a huge scrapbook, I'd been working on it for ages.
What about making him a small photo album with photos from the past year? Or quotes he might like?
These albums are perfect for making small gift books. I think they have 10-12 pages

For Valentine's Day, I made my husband a small album with pictures of us and words from letters or cards I had written him.
I also really like the idea of a love letter.
my birthday was five days after our anniversary, so I let him combine them this year (for purely selfish reason). I wanted new furniture and by combining my gifts, we were able to make it "acceptable". As for him, I picked up two CD sets he wanted (although he made me cash in his b'day gift cards from him family to pay for them). I wanted to get him a framed Playboy stock (he has a HUGE collection of PB magazines), but I was too late to order it and receive it on time and to be honest, we don't have the wall space *shrug* (but I do love the idea of the framed stocks)

Also, I forgot to add earlier that if you aren't up to making something complex, you can make a card. I made DH an anniversary card with our vows on them (we wrote our own vows)
The scrap of fabric on the card is from my wedding dress.

A gift certificate for the two of you to do something fun together? Dinner? Movies? Performing Arts? Sporting Event?
Good luck! :)

I bought my DH tickets to a Yankees game and pocket watch that I had engraved. He'll never use the watch, but I think it's a nice memento that he'll want to pass on to our kids. :)

I bought my husband a framed print of Dogs Playing Poker (it's paper!) for our newly finished basement, because he loves dogs and poker, because we plan to hold poker parties in the basement, and because it's a classically cheesy piece of art. :)

I got my DH a stock of eBay. He is always selling and buying so it was a perfect gift.

DH & I saw some watches that we loved on a cruise a few months before our first anniversary. We decided that we would by those for each other as our anniversary gifts. It was actually quite appropriate since we also gave our wedding party watches at the rehearsal dinner. My MOHs mother later told us that the modern first anniversary gift is clocks. Little did we know how appropriate we were being when we decided to splurge on ourselves!

Just wanted to say thank you for all of the ideas! I actually got some ideas for his upcoming birthday too! :)
We had our anniversary this past weekend and I ended up with the sexy lingerie and told him I would buy him the tool chest for the garage that he wanted. He loved it (not as much as a puppy, but I do what I can!) ;)
Thanks again!

I'm not married Yet:p But have decided I really wanted to get my FH tickets to a FB game. We both have never been and we are HUGE FB fans!
I also want to make a scrapbook of all the cards we have given each other......I have them all sitting in a box, so I thought this would be something nice and not so much money to do!
Both were suggestions from a friend as well!
ETA: Just noticed you posted and dont need anymore ideas:p
