TTCers of ConstantChatter:
Charting Our Course to the BFPs

http://www.ripleysorlando.com/images2/fertilitystatues.jpg
The fertility statues are known to work for some who rub them around the time of possible conception.
It is said that the baby is the most potent part of the statue.

So rub away! :D It's worth a shot!

Who we are:
This is a group of women using charting (temperatures, CM, CP, OPK/FM results, or a combination of these) to try to conceive and, along the way, are learning a heckuvalot about their own bodies! Many of us use a software program to keep track of our charts as well as allowing us to share them with each other. The most common ones are FertitlityFriend.com and Ovusoft.com.

Your threadmistress for this thread is Baby Lust!
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, feel free to email me! (charting_is_knowledge@yahoo.com)

To our members:
This thread gets very busy at times, so in order to keep things less overwhelming and a bit more organized, we start a new thread each month as well as after 3 BFPs. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over. The threadmistress would really appreciate it if everyone would post their updates in Red. That way, if I get a bit behind, it is much quicker to get the thread up-to-date.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

Want to join the fun??
We welcome one and all. It doesn’t matter if you have never charted before or if you’ve been charting to avoid. I am sure you will find lots of help and support in this group.

If you would like to join, CD1 is the time to do it! That way, we can cheer you on
throughout your cycle, rather than 2 days before you test!

Please don't be discouraged by the number of posts in this thread. You don’t have to read the whole thread to join. Feel free to just jump in on the last page. Just read through these first couple of posts and post a reply with the following information and we will get you added right away. Of course, none of this info is a must but we like to know a little bit about one another.

Things I Have Learned About TTC
by WC's Sherylb

* TTC is a journey. You will discover things about yourself that you never expected. You will face fears you never thought you had. You will find joy in little things.
* TTC can bring you closer to your DH, or it can pull you apart. If your marriage is not solid, you will find out quickly.
* No one understands exactly what you are feeling at any given moment, but someone can empathize at least a little bit.
* You will experience an emotional roller coaster ride. There will be highs and lows and fast moments and slow. Sometimes you have to wait in a very, very slow moving line. You may not even get the seat you want. It is not always fun, it can be scary, but in the end it is worth it.
* "Just relax" is the last thing in the world you want to hear from someone, but it is OK if you say it about yourself.
* There will be moments when you question your own decision to start TTC. You will wonder if you should wait or if you should just give up. Those are normal. But you will get past those feelings.
* The blue and green turtle likes to pop its head out! You will hear of someone's pregnancy and turn green with envy and blue inside because it isn't you.
* It isn't fair, it isn't easy, and it isn't pretty. But you keep doing it because the reward is worth it.
* You will be your best friend and your worst enemy. Your body will
surprise you and yet disappoint you.
* Some women do get lucky and conceive right away. Others aren't so lucky and have to struggle to get there. Hope you will be in the first category, but prepare yourself to be in the second.
* Once you decide to TTC, there will be babies and pregnant women everywhere! You could swear there is a baby boom going on!
* You will have questions. No one will ever be in exactly your position, so don't be surprised when no one can give you exactly the answer you are looking for. But there are people that can contribute, so don't be afraid to ask!
* Two lines on a pregnancy test is not the end of the struggle. Pregnancy has lots of struggles in and of itself.

- Common TTC abbreviations
This is a list of some of the more common TTC abbreviations. I know as a newcomer to the TTC threads, it can be hard to keep them all straight. I hope these will help, and if anyone has any they would like added, please let me know!

•2WW: "2 week wait" - The approximate time from possible conception to menstruation due date; Pregnancy tests should be taken near the end of the 2WW.
•AF: "Aunt Flo"; Your period; Menstruation
•AFNW: "Aunt Flo Not Wanted"; the day your period is expected to start, but you are hoping it doesn't!
•AO: anovulatory (cycle without ovulation)
•BBs: "boobs"; breasts
•BBL: "be back later"
•BBT: Basal Body Thermometer; This is used to measure your basal body temperature, when you wake up in the morning, after at least 3 hours of sleep, before you start to move around; Use a special BBT thermometer to take your temperature because they measure the small changes in temperature from day to day more accurately than the regular fever thermometers.

Thanks for the new thread :p

Congratulations again to all the BFPs!! H& H 9 months to all of you!

As for me I am 9dpo and trying not to obsess, easier said than done. I haven't had many of the FPS that I have in the past. The only symptoms I've had are a couple of days of mild cramping, but nothing consistent. I also have small bumps on my aerolas and they have a brownish tint to them (usually very pink). I tell you every month it is something new. The next few days should tell it all. Since I've been temping 7 months my temps either drop on day 10 or 11 so if I make it past that point hopefully I will know what is up. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Nothing new with me... temping on and off this cycle. Decided to go unmedicated to see if I O on my own, though I highly doubt I will. Just over 2 weeks until we leave for Seattle! :D Wheee!!!

I hope we can close out this month with at least 3 more BFPs! We have some testers coming up and I am anticipating some good news! :D

Yay for a new thread!

I'm hoping that I O this month same time as last (i.e., around cd11 or 12). This is my first month using OPK's and boy is poas addictive! Sure is neat watching a (faint) line appear - even though I know it means a *negative* on an OPK. :p

My temp was way up this morning, and I was wondering if your coverline temp ends up being around the same number each month. For example, mine was about 97.6 last month - should it be around the same this month?Thoughts?

Bellefior
07-26-2005, 12:19 PM
Nothing new to report here other than I have had some weird spotting lately and hope to O' around this weekend. I haven't seen the temp shift yet.

One piece of good news however! DH was offered a new job today. He starts next week! (I think I mentioned how he had left the place he had been for 3 years, went to a new place, and only worked there 3 weeks when the person they originally wanted to hire became available and he was let go.) This new job has better salary and benefits than either of the previous places. I know its not exactly TTC related, but it brings down my stress level several notches, which may help the whole TTC issue!

Hello All,

I am here at 9DPO. I am not having any real symptoms this month. I was out of town on a business trip at the beginning of my cycle so I have no temps this month. I must say it is kind of nice not stressing over every temp change every morning. So, this is our 9th month of trying and I am of course hopeful but I don't think this is our month (again :( ). Good luck to all of you- congrats to all the BFP's this month!

Threadmistress. . please change me to Waiting to O. CD 1 for me today. Not completely unexpected. Bummer of it is though that if I O early again next month (like I have the last 2 months) then I'll be out of town during the most important time. . .and more than a 3 hr. drive away :(

Drs appt. on Thursday to discuss possible endometriosis. I think I might request a lap. . . My pulmonologist believes that I have it and that it may be on my lungs as well. I've been quite worried and distracted all week. Just hoping for a resolution to all this madness. Not knowing is the worst.

Good luck to all the testers coming up!

Hola chicas!

jodylovesscotty, I learned last cycle that the bumps are called Montgomery's glands, or tubercles. I never really noticed them before & even read on another message board (by a doctor, no less!) that only pg women get them. Luckily I looked further & read that most women have them all the time. I even saw pictures of women who had & hadn't given birth, and there was a slight difference. Mine were also turning brown, but I've now learned that that must be a regular PMS for me. But none of that was said to discourage you!!!!! I've got everything crossed that this is it!

Welcome, Klav!

Good for you for relaxing, Amanda! Just think Seattle & forget about everything else (yeah, right ;) )

LittleStar, over 15 cycles my CL has been between 97.2 & 97.7; like Amanda said, it's cooler in the winter. However, CL is really an arbitrary number and each method determines it differently, and it's much more important to have an idea of your CL for that month rather than worry about it over time.

Bellefior, major congrats to your DH!!! This has everything to do with TTC, and thank goodness that weight has been lifted from your shoulders :)

Caroline, did I ever tell you that Guiness is my favorite beer; in fact one of about 3 beers I'll drink voluntarily? Cheers to my cycle buddy! May this cycle be your last! (for 9 months, anyway ;) )

bumble, that's exactly what I did last month. I should probably do it again. We have this affinity for Cakebread that costs us wwaayy more than we'd like.

Kristen, :(, even if she was expected.

As for me, It was fun being hypotheitcal, but I have to be realistic. My temped dropped wwaayy down this morning, much further that it's ever been. Since I got a new therm I'm temping with both right now to see how they differ, and so far they've both been almost identical. There's really no reason why today should be so different. I'm being more careful to temp at the same time AND after undisturbed sleep, which means 4:30am.

I still feel a tightening across my pelvic region, and my bbs are still full if not sore. I only had one real day of bleeding, and the only "spotting" I've had today is when I use a tissue like I'm checking CM. And it's brown. Flat out brown. Not even a hint of anything red. Just plain weird.

CD22 for me. EWCM is going strong and I've had dull cramps yesterday and this morning. My temp stayed up today so I've been (as I'm sure most of you have also done) putting in hypothetical temps for tomorrow to see if I get a coverline. If it stays above 97.3 tomorrow, FF is giving me an O date of CD18. We shall see . . .

Chart? I don't see any instructions on how to put in a link to a FF chart. Anyone have a minute to post that info? Thank you!!

Charting is not going well for me. My sleep is so disturbed because I'm anxious about taking my temp, and then because of varied waking times and restless sleep, I can't even really rely on the temps I get. I'm pretty sure I O'ed so I'm going to stop temping for the rest of this cycle (chart stalking me won't be very fun ;) ) I might do 2 or 3 temps between now and af time, but I'm going to try to relax during this 2ww.

ShelbyMay

10dpo and hoping that temp jump meant something good. I don't think that's ever happened to me before, but I will have to look over my past charts to be sure. My only other possible symptom is really full-feeling bbs, but that happened last cycle, too.

DH and I have had a really emotionally taxing week, so it would be extra nice to get some good news...

BTW, what is Cakebread?

Well, I reviewed my old charts and it looks like I actually have had a jump like that in the past and it didn't mean anything good then. :( I am also a little bit worried that maybe I am just now O'ing??? It wouldn't be the first time I've O'd this late. No CM to correlate, but this temp jump was a lot more convincing than the one earlier in this cycle.

I mean, there are other individual bottles that may better, but Cakebread consistently, every year, produces a beyond-excellent wine in every cattegory. Expensive, yes, but worth every penny. I belong to the Bakers Club & get a bunch of freebies as well as 12% off of every purchase. It's free to join and you don't have to accept the shipments (8/yr).

ETA: Does anyone remember what Toni says in TCOYF about brown spotting? I'm traveling & don't have the book with me. I remember something about lots of brown spotting either before or after your period means you may not have be building a lining stable enough for a fertilized egg to implant.

I started charting mid cycle in Jan. then i charted all of Feb and in March dh told me he didn't want to start ttc so i stopped charting. We changed our ttc date to July 2005 and so far this month i have only remembered to chart 2 days at the very beginning. I have kept my charts going minus temps though. I am trying to remember to put the bbt next to the bed so i remember but so far i keep forgetting to do that. I am going to write it on my hand right now! :p I am definitely going to start charting again at the beginning of my next cycle. (if there is one!)

I need some advice from the TTC experts. I am on CD17. I usually O between CD24 and CD27. So I was not expecting to O for another week but today my CM was very stretch. It probably stretched 8 inches. Honestly. I took an OPK test that was negative (clear blue easy). Do you think we should BD? Based on past cycles I think I should wait but the CM was so stretchy that I’m worried. My cycles tend to be very regular but this is just my second cycle after a m/c so my body may be readjusting which means I could O sooner (maybe?).

Any thoughts would be great.

Rebecca

p.s flygilr i temp at 4:30am and it's not so bad.

welcome ellidew. i temp in the middle of the night. not sure if that's an option but you can't forget since it's obvious when you wake up at 4am why you're up.

Bumble I say if you get stretchy EWCM you should BD. My O date has varied quite a bit (CD15-30) for really no rhyme or reason. BD away!! You'll have a very fun (maybe exhausting) week :p

Welcome Ellidew! Hope your stay is short.

Flygirl TCOYF says spotting before can be a sign of insufficient lining, but mostly if your LP is less than 10 days. I can't find anything about after, but I assume that is just normal spotting after your period.

Mindy~ Thanks for dropping off all the baby dust. I rolled around in it all night :)

Well I am 11dpo and my temp didn't take a nose dive like it usually does :) I am going to use all my will power not to test until Sunday like it says. However AF should be here by Saturday so if she shows obviously I won't test, but if not the test fest will begin.

Hope this weekend is what it takes to close this thread down in style :o

Threadmistress: FF gave me an O date of 7/23 this morning.

jodylovesscotty: Hope that temp stays up (and you manage to resist the testing temptation)!

bumble: I vote for BDing in light of the EWCM. It is possible that you will O earlier this cycle due to your MC. Good luck!

11dpo here (jodylovesscotty, looks like we are cycle buddies this time) and holding. My temp dropped down after the spike yesterday, but it's still above coverline. AF should probably show up sometime between Friday and Sunday. If she doesn't show by Sunday afternoon, I will go buy some tests for Monday morning. (So she'll probably show up Sunday night, right? )

Welcome Ellidew and good luck to the ladies in their 2ww!

OPK questions: For those of you that use OPKs, what time of day do you test? Do you test more than once per day? This is my first month to try them, and I tested the first few days first thing in the morning...and then read the directions and saw that wasn't good! So now I've been testing when I get home from work (usually between 6 and 7 p.m.). The line's been getting slightly darker, but still no positive result. Is it possible to test every day, but still miss the LH surge?

Thanks!

Baby Lust
07-28-2005, 08:20 AM
LS, I test 2x a day, usually around noon and then around 8pm. It is possible to test every day and miss it but testing twice a day maximizes your chances of catching your surge. Good luck! Hope you see that + soon! :)

Question: Whick brand of OPK do you think is the best? I have been using the Target brand but just got a coupon for the FRER one's and I am wondering if it is worth trying them out or if I should just stick to the ones that I had used prior.

marteneym
07-28-2005, 01:45 PM
I think the last ones I got from them were good til 2007. I used Babyhopes.com, $Tree, and Clear Blue Easy. I got my one and only positive from the Babyhopes.com strips. The Clear Blue were hard to read. Babyhopes is really fast at shipping. I will probably have them Monday or Tuesday with free shipping.

Good luck!

OPKs last a long time, so don't worry about them expiring!! I have tried the cheapies and they don't seem to work for me so I personally stick to Target brands but the cheapies are definitely worth a try! I got mine from ebay and they were dirt cheap! Good luck! :)

What I'm going to do if AF shows up yet again:

1. Drop this pesky 10 pounds I've been carrying around because "I'm just going to gain it back when I get pregnant, anyway".
2. Get a tan. I haven't been able to spend much time outside this summer and I've put off buying time at a tanning salon b/c "I won't be able to keep going once I'm pregnant, anyway".
3. Donate blood. It seems like I'm always either at the beginning of my cycle (iron probably not high enough) or in the 2ww (don't want to put any more stress on my body). This time, I'm going to make time in the middle of my cycle.

Anyone else care to share their contingency plan? :)

UTChick

I'm with you on the "lose 10lbs." one. I have somewhat different reasoning. Mine is: "I might lose those 10 lbs when I have morning sickness." Sad, really sad that I am relying on morning sickness to lose the weight I have gained in the last 6 months.

Congratulations to all the BFP’s from last thread

Thanks to all for the kind word’s about losing my precious fur baby

As for me AF finally showed up so I’m waiting to O which is good news because I had no clue where I was in my cycle it was so screwed up, but now on to the bad news.
I haven’t been around much because my mother was in the hospital and I was spending most of my time there with her. Well what we all thought was a minor infection turned out to be a major problem and my mom passed away on Thursday July 28th at about 2:20 am so I probably wont be on here much for the next few days (weeks) I really don’t know how long it will be at this point. So good luck to everyone and I hope to see lots of BFP’s when I get back.

Well I am 12dpo and no temp drop. That is huge for me because for the last 7 months my temp either dropped on day 10 or 11 and today it went up. My one (not both) bb is sore, but not the sore it normally is after AF. And I still have the bumps (mam. glands). I've had some cramps as well. They have been on and off for the past week, nothing constant. I have to take something back to Target today so I think I will pick up some HPTs. I was going to wait to Sunday like FF tells me, but tomorrow a college friend of ours is having a party and a lot of us are going. I know there will be a lot of drinking so I don't want to drink if I am preggers. I also feel ok testing tomorrow because my usually LP is 11-12 days, I only had 1 time of 13 days in the past 7 month (the majority is 12 days). I am keeping everthing crossed that this is it.

Good luck to all the other testers and my cycle buddy!!!

spencer's_girl - So sorry to hear about your mom, just know that we are all here for you (even if you don't it know us!) during this tough time. My sympathies and best wishes go out to you and your family...

My temps were starting out nice and even this cycle-- and then I got a wacky temp spike and drop. Does anyone know what can cause temperatures to fluxuate like this-- or is this actually normal?? I have a Dr. appt on Monday (not for this in particular), so I will hopefully be able to ask him about this (and about my low temps-- I don't think temps below 97.0 are good/normal!).

Other than that-- waiting to O is so boring! I told my hubby that he might possibly need to "gear up" (hee) for next week-- if my body is back on track :D

I'm 6DPO today and temp still rising. The dull cramps continue (mostly in the morning or late evening) and the side of my bbs are sore. I had a bad cramp that lasted about 5 seconds while driving to work this morning. How the heck am I going to make it through the rest of this 2ww?! I'm overanalyzing everything and I was scared to look at my temp this morning for fear it would drop. Ugh.

Melissa, so sorry for your loss(es). You and your family are in my prayers.

12dpo and I caved. I had to go to the dollar store yesterday to pick up a few things, so I snagged a couple of pregnancy tests while I was there. I was still planning to hold off testing until Monday, but when I was getting ready for bed last night, I noticed a dark blue vein in my breast that I swear was not there before. The nipple on that breast also looks darker than the other one, and it's a lot more tender than the other breast. Can I get symptoms in just one bb?

Anyway, I tested this morning and got a glaring BFN. Back to waiting until Monday.

Well, I at 12DPO. I know I am terribly boring to chart stalk this month since I wasn't temping. I was on a business trip and just could not get back at temping when I got back home. So, this month I am just going with CM and OPK's. I must say however, that I don't think this is our month- again :( I am feeling like AF is on her way. I will probably give in an take a HPT tomorrow- because I am HPT OBSESSED!! I do not even want to think about how much money I have spent on HPT's! I hate thinking that I might be pregnant and not know, so I POAS every single month. I keep telling myself that "next" month I will just wait until AF shows up and if she is late then I will POAS- Yeah Right, who am I kidding.

Anyway, good luck to everyone. I have to agree with the others JodylovesScotty - your chart looks good. Good Luck!

OK...I need your advice on my temping situation. Around cd 3 or 4 (can't remember) I changed my temping time from 7am to 5 am since I am trying to get my sleep patterns regulated for starting back to work. Then on Wed. night, I stayed up really late reading and fell asleep on the couch, so I didn't temp Thursday am. Then last night I had a few drinks at a friend's house and went to bed late, so I didn't temp this morning because I knew it wouldn't be accurate.

So...will my temping inconsistencies this early in my cycle (I'm on cd 9) affect the rest of my cycle? I have had anywhere from 32-38 day cycles. Should I just forget about temping the rest of the cycle and rely on OPKs? Or should I continue to temp, keeping in mind the missing temps and inconsistencies?

Guinness
07-30-2005, 11:29 AM
Caroline Very sorry to hear your news. We will be here when your ready to join back up. Take care of yourself.

UTchick I say keep temping. You usually don't O until CD 17 or so, that is plenty of time to get some consistent temps before O. The temping inconsistencies might change the CL a little, but you should still be able to see the temp shift. Since temp shift happens after O, I would still rely on CM and OPKs to figure out O. Hope this is your month!!

Sorry Polkadot and JodylovesScotty about the temp drop. I understand Jody about the emotional rollercoaster watching temps and PG symptoms. I was there last cycle and really thought I had all the symptoms. Now I now they might be FPS for me, so I am hoping next cycle won't be as hard in 2WW. We shall see.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. We need some BFPs!!

jodylovesscotty~ Sorry about AF - ugh!

Guinness~Thanks for your input. I think I probably should keep temping. I know I won't be sleeping much until Tuesday so I will enter those temps but make note that they are a result of not enough sleep. Surely that will still give me enough time to see an accurate temp shift. I have a feeling I will be POAS quite a bit this cycle to catch that +OPK.

Thanks all - it's a new day and I feel better than I did yesterday, the cramping has stopped so that helps. Can't wait for the bleeding to end though, it's really heavy today.

Best of luck to you all, hope there are some more BFP's soon.

We'll probably TTC again after I have my next AF - I want to start taking stuff first (B12, Zinc?) to try and bring on ovulation earlier therefore lengthening my LP, because I think that is the reason for my miscarriage.

Caroline, I'm so sorry about your miscarriage. I hope you are back with us soon.

13dpo here and my temp took a nose dive. I had cramps early this afternoon, but then they went away and no AF yet. I agree that I wish she would hurry and show up if she's coming.

Just one question: Would a lack of sleep make my temp go up or down? I slept less than 6 hours last night before temping, and usually I sleep 8. I thought for a second that might cause the temp drop, but that doesn't really make sense. Wouldn't less time asleep make my temp higher, rather than lower?

(ETA: Yep, found it: "The primary drawback of using this method by itself is that many factors can raise body temperature, including illness, lack of sleep, and alcohol or drug use."

AF must be on her way.)

As for my mom i know that she is in a better place and that she is no longer in pain (she has been suffering for quite a few years now) but i still miss her and wish she was still here with me.

crazycaro i am so sorry for your loss my prayers are with you and your DH during this painful time.

sorry to all those the witch found again this month

just wondering has anyone faced a loss in their close family and then become even more determined to have a baby. with my mother gone i keep thinking that a baby would help fill the empty space in my heart and give me a outlet for the love i can no longer express in person to my mom. i wanted a baby before but now i feel like i want one ten times more than before.

caro - my thoughts go out to you.

i have gotten +OPK three days in a row. i would LOVE to O tonight but i think it may not be until monday. we will BD tonight but me and DH are exhausted. does this happen to anyone else? i feel foolish admitting that too many days of BD in a row is exhausting but heck - it's the truth.

mY TEMP HAS GONE UP A BIT BUT THERE WAS ONE DAY IT SEEMED to level back out not sure if it was because it was taken so early in the AM because we were heading out to NJ or what but today it is around 98.1 and my norm. is 97.4to 97.7 so keeping fingers crossed and I'm on day 24? waiting till 28th to see:) sorry about caps lock I always do that

Jody: Keep your chin up… I know it is easier said then done …

Sorry to all the girls who have AF…

Caro: I am sorry for your loss… thinking of you.

Spencers girl: Even though I am not in the same situation you are experiencing right now… I know what you mean about wanting a baby so badly. My mom was diagnosed in January w/ breast cancer and she started w/ a lumpectomy then chemo and last week she had a double mastectomy… we are waiting for those results as well… Before January babies were not even on my radar but after the news it hit me hard and we have been trying ever since. And every month that goes by I get so frustrated but in my mind I truly believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason…. I know we are experiencing 2 different situations but my heart goes out to you and you are in my prayers.

bumble: it can be exhausting. although i think i'm the only one in my marriage who feels that way, which i guess is a good thing.

missy: i'm sorry that AF arrived. :(

polkadot: hoping that AF stays away! i'm getting to a point in my cycle that i'm afraid to look at my temp each morning. it's so stressful.

klav: good luck! hope those temps stay up!

spencer's girl: my situation is not the same as yours, but i definitely feel the pressure for a bfp after my miscarriage in june. i know the added stress doesn't help any with ttcing, but it's undeniably a factor this cycle.

9DPO: i have every FPS in the book. every morning since 5DPO, i've felt like crap--quesy, crampy, tired. my temp dropped at 8dpo from 97.5 the morning before to 96.9. it went up this mroning to 97.5. the possiblity that it was an "implantation dip" is just making this wait more difficult.

Yesterday, while taking an hour to eat my english muffin, i alluded to possible pregnancy to my dh. i know he didn't intend to be cruel, but he told me not to talk about it until we get a bfp b/c he doesn't want to get excited to only have it end early again. i totally understand where he is coming from. i'm scared of a bfn this cycle, but his statement ignores the fact that i have no choice but experience every "symptom." i shouldn't be the only one who has to deal with the disappointment if, in fact, AF shows up. Right?!

amurphy- thanks for the vote of confidence.. ;) i will keep my fingers crossed

and your chart is looking good...keep thinking high temps :D

Dh and i just got into an argument b/c i took a test this morning and got a BFN and was aggravated and i guess i had an attitude so when he asked me if i took it i got all pissy....oh well we'll get over it...still waiting for AF to show her face...i just wish i could have a real answer

Melissa and crazycaro – My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Threadmistress, please move me to “Think I O'ed - Testing 8/15 - 8/21“

Last cycle after I O’d I was so stressed with temping that I had trouble sleeping. So this cycle I plan to temp up until Friday when I get my progesterone test to confirm I’ve O’d. After that I “hope” to put away the thermometer until I test on 8/15. I’ll be 17DPO if I can wait that long (LP was 15 days last cycle). My family reunion is 8/12-14 in MD so if I can keep from testing until then I’ll be good through the weekend. My family will keep me occupied and I will not be packing any HPTs. Maybe I should give the HPTs to DH to hide until the 15th.

Do you mind if I join? This is my first cycle charting...
Stats:

Me: Uskiku, 33
DH: 30
Married: 01/10/04
TTC since: 05/2005
Charting: 07/05
Known issues: I think my LP is on the short side...
Current status: waiting to O

I'm just amazed at what I'm learning about my body, thanks to charting. I had no idea that I was O'ing so late! I just got an OPK + last night -- and today is CD 18 for me! My cycles seem to be short-ish (1st cycle off BCP 26 days, 2nd 25 days and 3rd 27 days), so this makes me worried about my LP. I've heard or read somewhere that you're supposed to take magnesium and vitamin B? to lenghten your LP? Could someone help me out and tell me how much I should take? TIA!

Spencer's girl my heart goes out to you...

Very sorry about AF showing up, ShelbyMay -- I hate the witch!

Off to figure out how to post the link to my chart

Melissa and Caro- I'm so sorry to hear sad news from both of you.

CD26-8 DPO here.

Last month I had tons of FPS, so I'm ingoring any symptoms this cycle. Leaving for the beach on Thursday and I'm not bringing any pregnancy tests with me, so hopefully that'll make those last few days of 2ww more bearable. Although since this is my first month charting and I have no idea how long my LP is.
