PAW PAW -- A young man has quite the story to tell after his wheelchair got lodged in the grille of a semi truck, which pushed the chair and the man inside for five miles down a road.

As he crossed Red Arrow Highway in front of a semi truck, he didn't make the traffic light. The truck driver apparently didn't see Carpenter and a collision occurred, causing the wheelchair's handles to become lodged in the truck's grille.

One of our brain injury docs was telling us about this on Friday! CRAZY!! It's still kinda odd to me that if he was crossing the street, how he ended up facing the same direction as the semi. I can't believe he wasn't just run over!! :eek: What a freak, freak accident that thankfully turned out okay and something he can laugh about!

On a side note, it's a great advertisement for whatever company makes those tires on that w/c! :D

Did you listen to the 911 calls? I am sure it was horrible to witness, but gosh...it is funny to listen to. Especially the Jen chick!

The driver did not believe them until he stepped out of the truck and saw Carpenter still sitting in the chair.

Can you imagine what the driver was thinking when he finally realized what had happened? I know he was stunned to say the least.
