I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding next weekend. I want a simple, straight blowdry. No one can personally recommend a good salon in the area where the wedding is...Think I'd be safe going to a cheapie chain place just for a wash/blowout? Would you do it?

I'd feel comfortable doing that. I mean, it's not complicated, and at worst, you might have a little fixing to do on your own if it's not perfect....

I don't think there is too much to mess up with a blow-out.
I'd definitely book it there.

I used to stop there every once in a while when I was having a bad day and have them blow out my hair. (It always made me feel better)
They always did a good job. The price is also right! Good luck!

I did that a few times when I had a broken arm last year and couldn't take a shower for a while. They did a good job. I think you'll be fine.

I'd do it. I went to a wedding last summer and went to a pretty nice place who only charged around 20 bucks to straighten my hair so if you're really worried that's always an option too.
If I had to choose between Supercuts and Sams I'd go to Supercuts. I've heard some unhappy stories of local Sams.
