ok, so it goes 0-3 mos, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12, then 18mos... what's next?
24 mos then 1T? Or is 1T the same as age 1...or what? I asked a lady at the children's register at Macy's, but she didn't seem to know..
My little girl, at seven mos., is outgrowing her 6-9 mos. Vitamins sleepers, which I love, but they don't seem to come in any other sizes.. Or do I need to get out of the infant department and into the toddler stuff??
I am a hopeless shopper, but I am trying for the sake of my daughter.. (I would much rather just buy toys instead...)
Read this long ago on the *other* site:
through the craziness of manufacturing, there are 3 sizes you might put a 2-year-old in: 24 mo, 2T, and 2. 24 mo is a "baby" size, not always found but many manufacturers have it as a continuation of their baby line for those whose kids are bigger but still young and thus still have baby proportions (i.e. big noggin) so it has 'baby' features - big neck opening, crotch snaps, etc.
2T is a toddler size: still has diaper room, but otherwise an "older" style/cut.
Size 2 is "kids": no more diaper room.
Not sure about the Vitamins brand, so far I haven't bought many baby clothes but I see 12, 18, and 24 mo size clothing all the time at BRU and Kohl's, as well as 2's and 2T's. HTH. :D

*bump*
i was going to ask what the difference was between 24 mo, 2T, and 2. i see from above that size 2 no longer leaves room for diapers, but i am interested in buying a sweater and it is only available in size 2- can anyone tell me how this would be different from the other sizes?

1T is actually like 12-18 months size :)
As for finding sleepers in a larger size then 9 months...good luck! I've had a heck of a time finding pajamas for my DD in sizes larger then 9 months but smaller then toddler sizes. It's pretty confusing IMO. I LOVED Carters snap up sleepers but since we've outgrown them we're using The Children's Place zip up footed sleepers and really like them. I've also had some luck finding 12-18 and 18-24 Carters pajamas at Costco. And after 9 months you'll want to start shopping in a different section of the children's clothing. 0-9 months is layette, and your DD is getting into the infant/toddler size clothes. Just ask a sales person for some help :)
