Especially at night. I feel nauseated and bloated and feel discomfort right under the middle of my ribs. I've been to a GI who thought it was GERD and put me on medication which has not helped. I've also had an upper endoscopy to check for an ulcer which found nothing. I had gallstones and had my gallbladder removed several months ago - this was supposed to solve all my stomach ailments - nope. I feel like I could throw up - it's very similar to the morning/all day sickness I had while pregnant with my daughters. I wish I knew what this was. I drink Pepto by the bottle almost every night and also need to take benedryl or tylenol pm just to fall asleep.

Does anyone have any advice, comments or dealt with anything similar to this? It's been going on for at least 9 or 10 months now. I've lost a ton of weight because I'm too afraid to eat anything after 4 or 5 pm. Thanks for any help or advice!:(

I would really follow-up with the doc who did your gallbladder surgery. Be aggressive and find someone else if the doc won't listen. I've heard of lingering nausea after gallbladder removal (I had mine removed a few years ago, and while I did not, I did some reasearch and found it is not uncommen). What is your diet like? I know you mentioned that you are not eating much b/c of the fear of eating and making your tummy even more upset, but maybe you need to see a dietician to look over your diet to see if something could be causing your GI issues. Try keeping a food diary and see if you can find a trigger (fat? Citrus? Wheat? etc.). Maybe it might help to actually eat bland things like when you had MS?

Best of luck! I know how incredibly frustrating stomach issues can be! Stress was a big trigger for me, and still can be, but I try to manage it best as I can. Be sure to try to push for answers!
