We're heading back to DH's hometown at the beginning of June. We're planning a day trip to NYC for a Yankees game and some sightseeing. We'd like to add some local spots. We'll be in the Scranton area (Forest City/Waymart/Honesdale.) A trip to Bushkill Falls (http://www.visitbushkillfalls.com/) is planned, but beyond that, we're got nada!
We're seeking recs from the locals re: things to do (DH hasn't lived there since the mid-90's. Also, we're on a budget. We thought about Hersey Park, but decided against it because of cost. We're not opposed to museums or driving a distance to get somewhere cool.
