I am so happy to see the Linz's win. I really didn't care who won as long as it wasn't the Weavers. JenniferEC you are right:
It's one thing to pray for strength or wisdom, but to continually pray for greed or things like a certain cab is wrong. They are NOT Christians.

They didn't deserve to win.

On a happier note, the final mat was only 1 hr from where I live. I thought it was great to see some of the areas I am familiar with. And I never heard a work, though the media, about it. I think that is great too.

Overall, it was an okay season but I can't wait for February!!!

YAY! SO happy with the outcome! I love the Linzes - they represented Ohio quite nicely IMO!

I am also so glad that the Weavers came in 3rd. Poor Rolly did EVERYTHING. They made him to every single task and the poor kid has to deal with his crazy mother and the whiney sisters. They really did not come off as good people at all - certainly not as good as their Holier than thou attitude would suggest. Ugh, they were making me sick last night.

Anyway, yay for the Linzes - I liked them from the beginning. :)

I saw the Linzes on the Early Show this morning and they said that they are giving half the mil to their parents and the other half is going to be split 7 ways between them and their other 3 siblings! What great kids!
Who Dey baby!
they represented Ohio quite nicely IMO!

I agree!

Sooooo happy that the Weavers choked in the end. I was so mad that they didn't show them doing the geography puzzle. They probably didn't even have to do it. I think that would have been the highlight of the show. :D

I thought it was pretty cool where the ended, too. In fact, the only reason I watched the whole show (my bedtime is normally 10 o'clock) was because I saw the jet boats in the preview and wanted to see what they got to do in my neck of the woods. I wish they'd done a bit more in the area, but I guess finishing in a park is easy to control. People would have noticed if they let them loose right in downtown Niagara Falls, or something like that.

Did anyone else catch Mrs. Weaver lying last night? It was when she was trying to get the map in the gas station and she lied and said they didn't have any money. Um, yes they did. They got the same amount at the beginning of this leg as everyone else.

Anyway, I'm so pleased it ended as it did. Wally and the girls were a little too mean to each other sometimes, but the Linz kids never were. And yes, I was a dork too and I cried at the end.

meggiedarlin- Yup. caught it. Then she told him "what you give will be given back to you" I was like, "huh?" Give him a couple bucks for the map then! That wasn't very Christian. The entire family is delusional. Plus, does a truly good Christian flaunt it and constantly talk about it or are they just a genuinely good person?

I didn't really care who ended up winning, I was just glad that this season is over with and let's bring on the next season! I felt bad for the dad though. It made me think of my dad and if he would have been able to travel that long with my two sisters and I. That man should get something!

Yaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! So happy that the Linzes won!!! :D :D :D

I would have been almost as happy if the Bransen's had won...mainly just hoping against hope that the Weavers would choke. And they did!! DH and I were really ticked they didn't show them doing the puzzle at the end. I am betting that they didn't even bother once they got there and saw the two completed puzzles. And what was with them almost quitting during the stadium challenge?? The fools dominated that entire leg of the race and then almost give up at a crucial point???? Totally lame. I was groaning and wincing every time I heard them pray for/about trivial little thing that happened while they were racing. Do they think they have like a speed-dial to God on his "insignificant-items-for-prayer-hotline" or something?? Give me a break!! And Ted the cabdriver was not helping. I think he and the Weaver mom should hook up now that the show is over..Lord knows that they make the perfect freakin' couple.

The Linzes did Ohio proud and I'm so impressed with how they are going to share their money. What a class act. :D

Actually in addition to the second and third place prize money, there was a final challenge after they announced the winners. The Weavers and Bransens went head to head to win a GMC truck - the ones they were driving throughout the race.

hightlight to see a SPOILER in case you don't want to go to www.cbs.com/gmc/ to watch...

The Bransens win the car!! Yay!!

I've boycotted this season, but did give in and watch the final episode last night. It was pretty good-- I was just so glad the Weavers didn't win.

CAN'T WAIT for the return to the original format and some more exotic destinations!! :D

I'm with you Erin. Can't wait...it looked like Russia and a bunch of other cool places!!! I was happy that the Linzes won. I didn't watch the second half of the season but they were comic relief.

Ok a little behind because I just watched last night but I was rooting for the Bransen's but I think its cool the Linz family won! :)

It was cool to see them end in Lewiston. I'm not far from there and my DH does work up there in the summer.

FH and I were really hoping that the Weavers would have given up at the stadium because we wanted to see them try to justify that on the Early Show the next morning. No such luck. Then when we heard the description of the puzzle task, we were hoping that some of the Weavers attempting that one would be shown. How hilarious would that have been? No such luck there either.

On the Early Show, the Weavers kept trying to deny that they were so awful with the other teams by saying that their game plan was to work together as a team and they weren't there to make friends blah blah blah. It looked to me like they didn't realize anything about how absurd they are by watching the episodes air. They need some serious help.
