For as much as he has sold and/or bought, his percentage isn't too high...no pun intended :p

Heh - I like that you get a little "story" with your purchase! True or not, at least it's entertaining! ;)

All I can think of is Tommy Chong as "Leo" in "That 70's Show"! ;)

True or not I think the guy could make more money making up stories like that than selling patches on EBAY. Funny stuff.

I don't know, that patch is up to $23 now! I think his stories sell patches.

LOL! I sent him a message telling him he was a good writer and he replied with:

Thanks Katie, but writing is a black art to me. I've been a visual artist for 16 years, yet in the end its all about expression. If I had five hours we could talk story about some wild sh!t that happened during my years on the road chasing the dead. Then when we were done, I would have a new story about the time I told somebody all my dead show adventures.

Aloha!

He's funny :)

This is a pretty hilarious description/explanation:

But the truth is...well, uhhh...he's actually desperate for cash. Oh well. I suspect he has learned a hard lesson in that all-to-common economic reality known to overwrought consumers everywhere as 'depreciation'. See, he knew how much coin he'd dropped to acquiring his collection, and once the novelty of playing endless Pokemon tournaments and studying the intimate details of Feraligatr evolution wore off, the only thing he was really left with was the approximate dollar value of his collection.

Thanks to the miracle of Ebay, it took all of 30 minutes for the truth to sink in. It turns out that there's a reason why Pokemon cards are not traded on any known public commodities exchange...they're not quite the world's best investment, really. Of course, I know I'm not supposed to admit that since I'm trying to sell a boatload of them here, but what I mean is that a college fund is simply a better bet than an enormous Pokemon trading card collection--at least for the average 9-year-old (of course, my 9-year old is above average--just like yours--but we'll let that assumption go without saying). So now it's time for a little experiment/lesson in free-market capitalism at its best! Hence, this listing.

In the spirit of full disclosure I should state that if these cards sell for any meaningful amount of cash he will likely spend it wantonly on a Bionicle spending spree or a new Gameboy cartridge. I know this because he's too much like his father in this respect, who was saved from certain personal financial catastrophe by his heaven-sent wife...who happens to be a CPA.
