We are vacationing in Myrtle Beach this month. DS (21 mo) drinks goat's milk. We buy ours at Walmart here in Wisconsin. Not all Walmarts carry it. Does anyone know where to get whole goat's milk in MB? It's usually in the organic/natural foods section at regular grocery stores or at organic grocery stores. I think I've heard that some Trader Joe's carry it (is there one there?)TIA!

I hope this is not too late for you. There is a pretty good whole foods section in Kroger grocery store. Otherwise, there are a few small health food stores in Myrtle Beach. I'm not sure about goat's milk specifically. I don't know if they carry it at Wal-Mart either. Check the phone book for natural food stores and call them when you get there. Unfortunately, Myrtle Beach does not have a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, or anything good like that. I give DD organic whole milk, and when I go on vacation, I just pack a cooler with enough milk for the stay, so that's another idea.

No it's not too late, thanks! We thought about bringing some but we'll be gone for 8 days and he drinks about 30 oz/day. That would be a lot of milk! Plus, we're flying. I guess we'll just have check around and make some calls when we get there. Thanks again!

Those Whole Foods would be too far away--Charleston's about a 2-hour drive and Greenville is 4-5 hours from MB. There's a smaller health food store there called New Life Natural Foods, and they have a store in MB and one in NMB. Here are the phone numbers: 843-448-0011 (MB) and 843-272-4436 (NMB).

I also remember my sister living in an apartment complex on 65th Ave N. (or maybe it was 67th...) in Myrtle Beach, and she was right beside a goat farm that sold milk. I know several people used to buy milk from them directly for their babies. Unfortunately, I never knew the name...but I'm guessing they might supply milk for local health food stores.
