I thought this was appropriate since we had the Baskin Robbin's thread yesterday. What's your favorite flavor?

Mine is Phish Food from Ben and Jerry's. It is chocolate ice cream with gooey marshmellow, caramel, and fudge fish. YUMMO!!!

Buttered Pecan
Mint Chocolate Chip

I like the Baskin Robbins and HEB Creamy Creations versions.

Mint Chocolate Chip has always been my #1

But I will never pass down a Pumpkin Pie Blizzard from Dairy Queen
or
Vanilla Icecream with caramel sauce or hot fudge (a cherry on top is always nice!)

I do not like chocolate icrecream and will pass it up if it is offered. I love chocolate but not chocolate icecream.

Breyers Vanilla w/ the little vanilla bean specks. Yep, naturally delicious!

#2 would have to be the Cake Batter flavor from Coldstone, although I can no longer eat it since it has wheat ):

I recently had the Dark Chocolate ice cream from ColdStone and thought I'd died and gone straight to heaven!! It has now been promoted to my favorite.

Runners Up include Baskin Robbins' Chocolate & Peanut Butter, ColdStone's Cake Batter and Nutella ice cream I make myself.

I don't like ice cream that much, but my favorite flavor is coffee. I also like oreo/cookies&cream. If I buy any by brand, though, I usually buy Breyer's Vanilla Bean b/c it is generally to go w/ a dessert I am making. But I would much rather have a cookie, brownie, piece of cake, etc.

I love BR's Love Potion - but that's only around as a special flavor during February. I'm also a huge fan of peppermint stick (mmm Friendly's!) - but again, it's only around during Christmas.

Since the hubby doesn't like chocolate much, I tend to go the chocolate-ish route when out. At home I compromise and go with a cherry chocolate chip sort of thing.

Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia. It's divine.

Don't like ice cream, really, but if pressed:
Haagen Dazs vanilla with the little chocolate covered almonds in it; used to like Breyer's Light Mint Choco Chip but they reformulated it to "creamier texture" and it's foul. Oh, BTW, I **CRAVED** chocolate ice cream (plain, nothing fancy) all during pregnancy. Must've been the calcium.

Speaking of Friendly's, I *loved* their fried ravioli appetizer - :) waaay back in the day.

No, I've ALWAYS hated mint chocolate chip ice cream, too. I just don't get it.

My favorites are cookie dough and coconut.

I prefer unadulterated chocolate, not too high end (Bryers/Brighams instead of Haagen Daas). Although the little place by where I went to school once had cinnamon oreo, which lives in my memory many years later.

I'm a big poop, I guess, but I don't like cherry and chocolate mixed either. Or raspberry and chocolate. (Shudder.)

If I am having ice cream--I like cheesecake flavor with raspberries and graham cracker crumbs from Cold Stone.

Well it all depends on the brand and/or ice cream shop. But my all-time favs are chocolate and coffee.

There's a little shop in New Haven called Ashley's and their Sweet Cream ice cream is the best ever!! Cant' wait to get some when I go up there next week.

For me, ice cream is just the vehicle for the fudge. I rarely get ice cream alone unless it's really hot outside.

However, when I do...

Vanilla malt shakes (my #1 fave)
Coconut and mint oreo (Tied for #2 if #1 isn't available)
Regular oreo

In the fall, I also love pumpkin ice cream.

1. Green Tea - I can usually only get this at Asian restaurants
2. Cinnamon - Blue Bunny makes the yummiest Cinnamon ice cream that I can never ever find :( I've only seen it at Wal-Mart and I refuse to shop there, even for ice cream. B&J's made one, but it sucked and now resides in their Flavor Graveyard
3. B&J's From Russia with Buzz - Sadly, this also now resides in their Flavor Graveyard.

Yes, I'm very difficult when it comes to ice cream. I usually end up buying coffee ice cream of some sort if I'm at the store.

I'm also now totally intrigued by the idea of pumpkin ice cream. That sounds tasty.

We had a small chain in Southish Jersey, Thomas Sweet (http://thomassweet.com/), that used to make some awesome Nutter Butter ice cream. Imagine Oreos and Cream and go with Nutter Butters and peanut butter ice cream and that, my friends is heaven in a bowl! When my friend came out to visit he called all the local stores to see if *any* of them had it in stock...sadly, he hasn't seen it in many, many years. So sad.

any flavor with oreos in it...some of my top pics include coffee/oreo, mocha/orea, mint/oreo, and good o'l cookies and cream. :)

While I really love mint/oreo, I do find the mint chocolate chip not so tasty due to the chocolate chips often tasting bland and plastic'y'.

For some reason, I love fruit flavors -- strawberry, peach, blueberry, etc. I like the fresh fruit chunks too... If I had an ice cream maker, I would constantly prepare some. I made a cherry vanilla ice cream last year with black cherry halves - it came out really good. The only thing that took forever was pitting the cherries ;) It's fun to make your own ice cream.

I'm a big fan of Edy's Grand Lite French Silk. It's vanilla, chocolate swirl with chocolate chunks. Yum.

Speaking of peanut butter, DH picked this up last week and it is fab-u-lous!

http://www.mayfielddairy.com/products_icecream.html

Peanut Butterific: peanut butter ice cream with fudge swirls and chocolate-covered peanuts. It's not too sweet and you get a bit of a salty taste every now and then from the peanuts. Yum! :)

Ben & Jerry's Doonesbury Sorbet, another one in the Flavor Graveyard. Their American Pie is awesome, but seasonal. And Cherry Garcia is always fantastic.

If it's Breyer's, it would have to be the raspberry swirl with chocolate chunks, or maybe the white mint chocolate chip.

I normally do not care for chocolate ice cream, but Gadzooks! is sooooo good. It's a special edition flavor (chocolate ice cream mixed with caramel, chocolate chunks and peanut-butter brownies) sponsored/thought up by Philly radio DJs, and only found in Wawas in this area.

Okay, I'm gonna head back to the Weight Watchers thread now...

Brigham's (boston area) Chocolate or Coffee (it only come in quarts so I don't buy it often)

If I make it to Baskin Robbin's I'll get PB and Chocolate (so mad Ben and Jerry's got rid of theirs)

I really wish someone made Chocolate and Marshmellow. I used to get Rocky Road from BR, but I don't like nuts in my ice cream. Really as a rull of thumb, I don't like chunks in my ice cream. I like to lick, not chew my ice cream.

Am I the only person on earth who *hates* mint chocolate chip ice cream?

I don't like mint and chocolate together. Ugh.

Nope, I can't stand it either.

Coffee!! I hate actual coffee but love the ice cream. Weird, huh?

I don't drink coffee - part of the reason is I started eating coffee ice cream when I was 10, so by the time I was old enough that my peers were drinking coffee, I tried to make my coffee taste like the ice cream and realized that adding that much cream and sugar to it was not a healthy path to go down.

Breyers Vanilla w/ the little vanilla bean specks. Yep, naturally delicious!

Me too! :D Its always been the only thing. In fact, I'm so picky about my ice cream that when I eat a milkshake it has to be made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup (instead of chocolate ice cream).

Sometimes I'll eat cookie dough for a change but nothing beats Breyers Natural vanilla. :)

Lemon sherbet. But it has to be really tart, I haven't been able to find any that isn't syrupy sweet in US, and I'm so sad. Same goes for raspberry sherbet, my other love. Even better with semisweet chocolate ice-cream next to it.

Ben & Jerry's Doonesbury Sorbet, another one in the Flavor Graveyard.

This was one of my FAVORITE B & J flavors. And I never felt guilty about eating the entire pint, because it was fat free. :)

I recently tried a new Haagen-dazs flavor - Sticky Toffee Pudding. (http://www.haagen-dazs.com/img_db/pro/pro_sttpdd_200.gif)

This was a contest winner in the 'invent a flavor' contest. Oh.My.God...this is simply the best. Caramelly ice cream, with chunks of a brown-sugar cake in it...seriously good stuff.

Another new B & J flavor that is heavenly, is creme brulee. Limited edition, sadly.

I agree. I'm addicted to Edy's Thin Mint ice cream and have made it my mission to find all remaining gallons at my grocery stores. Last week I found 3 gallons of it & was overjoyed!

I got Samoa and the Peanut Butter patty kind back in Jan. Both were so-so. Next time I will have to get the thin mint.

I don't really have a favorite flavor but I LOVE Breyers Vanilla Bean with Cinnamon and Honey drizzled on top and if i'm feeling really frisky ;) i'll put some corn flakes in a bowl and spray it with a little butter and microwave it for a 30 seconds to toast them and then crumble those over it. It's my own version of fried ice cream!

Baskin Robbin's Chocolate Chip or Pralines and Cream. I worked there in h.s. and became quite the ice cream expert :)

You won't be disappointed with the Thin Mint. I tried the Samoa and just thought it was alright too.

Come down to GA--my local Super Target has a bunch of in stock!

Man! It is nowhere here in WV. They have a new flavor that I tried out yesterday--Triple Chocolate. It's like the rainbow but missing two options. :p

I believe the Girl Scout ice cream is only around when the cookies are sold (Jan-March). Maybe they only sell certain flavors in certain areas - I've seen the Thin Mint and Peanut Butter Patty one just never the Samoa's here.

It is the best thing on EARTH!!!!

Bryers Natural Peach has ALWAYS been my absolute favorite! In general I prefer the Bryers natural ice creams because they taste so much like homemade.

Thank you for the tips on finding the Sticky Toffee Pudding ice cream. I found it and it was YUM.

But I also discovered English Toffee by Haagen Dazs and that's even better!

YEAH. Me too. And there's a Food Network show called Scoop (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show_sp/episode/0,1976,FOOD_9994_44199,00.html)that tells about how this flavor won a contest. It's on right now, but I don't know if it will be on again.

Here's a random ice cream related question... has anyone seen the Ben & Jerry's flavor "Stephen Colbert's AmeriCone Dream (http://www.benjerry.com/features/americone_dream_index.cfm)" in stores? Anyone ever tasted it? My DH is obsessed with finding it, but it's nowhere here. When we were in Vermont last month he went into every market he saw to look for it, but never found it.
