I checked out a book from the library last week without really seeing what it was about (I'm usually trying to select books while reshelving what my 2-1/2 yr old is rapidly deshelving). The book is Spiral by Koji Suzuki and it turns out it's the 2nd book in the Ring triology (like the movie).
I stopped reading a few pages in after seeing that on the cover. I'm afraid it will keep me up at night... but, I really liked the first chapter! I was going to return it today, but I think I'll read it afterall.
Do you like to read horror/scary books? I used to like Steven King in middle school, but now I'm more of a wuss. :p

I used to read a lot of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Patricia Cornwell stuff. I love a good thriller!

Mmmmm... I do like Dean Kootz.
I think I've decided to definitely read this book. I hope it's not too scary!

Nope, they keep me awake in the middle of the night. But enjoy! :)

I used to be addicted to Stephen King but I don't have as much time to read now. Love his books, hate the movies based on them most of the time. Very cheesy!
I used to read those kind of books but not any more. I'm not really sure why either.

I'm a chicken, too. I get nightmares way too easy. I have only read one Stephen King book, Lisey's Story, and I loved it. I have Bag of Bones on my shelf waiting for me because so many people said they thought I would like it if I liked Lisey's Story. I also have Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk, but haven't read that yet either. So I rarely read them, but I'm opening up to the idea. :)

I finished the book! It wasn't too scary, I guess, but I'm think I'm still going to stay away from the horror type for now.
It was a lot like the first Ring movie - starts off seeming good with a good premise, but gets boring and rather outlandish by the end.
