If you took clomid, when did you O?

1st cycle: CD19
2nd cycle: CD15 (triggered)
3rd cycle: CD7

I think my case is unusual since I ovulate very regularly (though a little late). I don't think I should have been put on clomid hence the CD7 ovulation. The RE did *no* pre-clomid bloodwork. He was a giant quack for more than just that reason.

I was on clomid for RPL.

Hum...there's not an option there for me! I didn't O on Clomid!

Each of the 6 times I O'd on Clomid it was between CD15 and CD17.

On both cycles it was CD16-18

Bumping this up.

I am hoping my dr gives me Clomid when I see him today, today is CD 69 and still no sign of O or AF, last cycle was 75 days and only ended with Provera, so I am pretty sure I am not Oing. I have a history of very long cycles when not on birth control and plan on asking him about checking for PCOS.

I have heard that Clomid can delay O, but since I don't O at all I am just wondering when you would normally O, I don't want to start the BDing to early and be worn out when it counts;)

Clomid is started on cd3 or 5, so you're going to have to either wait out the cycle or end it with provera again before taking clomid. :( If he does bloodwork for PCOS it's usually also done early in the cycle (like cd2 or 3).

The correct dosage of clomid should make you O within 5-9 days of your last pill. If the dosage is wrong, you may O late or not be enough to make you O at all. And if you don't O on your own normally, it may take a few cycles to figure out which dosage works for you.

I would really be concerned about taking it without being monitored with ultrasounds, as it causes cysts and sometimes even mild hyperstimulation. Something to discuss with your Dr, but if you go on it you can ask your ob/gyn for a referral to a specialist who will monitor you carefully.

Did it stay the same, did it make you O earlier, or later? I usually do chart, but I am just having such a hard time getting back into it. This is my first cycle on Clomid, and I took it between 5-9 cd's. My dr. just told me to make sure we were bd'ing everyother day the week after I stop take the pills? But if I o late, what's the point of that week? I am just confused. If anyone has any insight please let me know. TIA!!!:D

I didn't normally O without it. I O'd between CD15-21 on clomid.

I O'ed 7 days after the last pill, hope that helps!

Everything I've been told says if you're going to O, it's 5-9 days after taking the last pill. My last cycle, it wasn't until 11 days after (taking it CD3 - 7). The cycle before it was 7 days.

Without Clomid, I would O between CD21 and CD38, so when I was reading people say without qualification that Clomid delayed their O date, I almost cried. Then I realized that these were women with "normal" O dates who were taking Clomid for other reasons. Just wanted to qualify the whole early / late thing. Means different things depending on what you're used to.

I o' late like cd 21-35. So that is why i am so lost. I jsut hope it makes me o sooner, rather than later!

Without Clomid, I would O around CD22 if I O'd. Clomid did not change my O date, although I only used it one cycle without a trigger.

Are you charting? Using OPK's? I'd definitely do something - most Dr's will want to do 7dpo testing and if you're not sure, it'll likely end up on CD21 which will be basically useless information if you didn't O on CD 14.

That is where the charting will really help you.
Because you are exactly right- if you only BD the week after you take the Clomid, you could potentially miss your O if it is late.

So like jenny said, either chart or do OPK's so you know when you O.
That will also be useful information for your docotor if the Clomid doesn't work this month.

Also, are you being monitored at all with u/s or bloodwork?

I'm also doing Clomid this month and we are doing the CD21 progesterone test as well as a CD12 u/s to check follicles.

Your insurance may even cover those tests if you don't O regularly.

Good luck!

Dancn - I was a late O'er like you. Usually around cd 21-35. On Clomid (cd 5-9) the first time I O'd on cd 14! It felt like a miracle. :) The second cycle was cd15 I think, then the third I didn't O till cd 21.

Good luck!!

Clomid actually pushed my O date back. I usually O b/w CD 10-12 and when on Clomid I Oed on CD 13 and 14

I agree that using the OPKs will help!

I have been charting in the past. And I was so in a GREAT pattern. Now, I took last month off from charting because of all the testing and such, and well now I just am having a hard time getting back into ti. I was goign to temp this am, but woke up to late. So that is my goal for tomorrow.

Thanks for all the suggestions, they really are great. I am just really carious on what it did for others. My dr is going to do a cd 21 blood work. She said they want to see if the 50 mg is wokring for me. So we will see!

Clomid made me O a little later than normal, by only 1 day. I hear you about charting. I did it for 3 or 4 months and threw the towel in on that! I don't have good enough sleep patterns and I swear it was just stressing me out!
