The brace thread got me thinking about something I want to do. I have a Maryland bridge for one of my teeth. I don't know the names of the teeth, but its the one right next to my front tooth. The bridge is basically glued to the two teeth next to it. It is very annoying and I am very afraid of it falling out if I bite on something hard.

I've always wanted to get a permanent one put in, but my dentist said it is very expensive. I never asked how much, just left it at very expensive. While reading the brace thread someone mentioned about going to a dental school to get the work done and maybe being able to save some money.

So I tried to search for schools in my area to do this. but I suck at searching and can't find anything. If someone could please help me I would love you forever. LOL

I am looking to find one in Northern or Central New Jersey. Thanks so much.

From the website of the ADA (http://www.ada.org/prof/ed/programs/search_ddsdmd_us.asp), it looks like there's only one accredited graduate school of dental medicine in NJ- UMDNJ (http://www.umdnj.edu/). It may be easier just to call their main number and find out whether they can help you out-- I didn't see a site for a public clinic at a quick glance.

FWIW, I go to a dental school for treatment in the Boston area, and my experience has been well above my expectations-- everyone has been fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone, and if I move, I'll definitely miss them.
