I just watched from the other night. Being a teacher I can not imagine being able to take a whole month off from work. She had to have been docked for that. We only get so much time. Also I would NEVER want the children and the families to see my "outside" life. I get embarrased when I am out drinking at a restaurant and see children from my class.

Her dress was so inappropriate for a school setting. The dress a little short and cut a bit low, and those shoes were awful!!

I thought they had to sign something saying they wouldn't talk about the ending??

I'm so disappointed Bevin didn't get the ride in the limo last night. She really bugs me. I think it's because she's in this to win rather than to find true love. Also, I can't stand her laughing at everything Andy says. She is going to have a huge meltdown if Andy picks Tessa.

I never really saw much between him and Danielle, so I'm not surprised she's gone. Kudos to her for not having a bawlfest in the limo.

His chemistry with Tessa is obvious, although I don't understand how he can propose to her a week after making out with the other two.

I have to say- I think his choice is odd. Andy is fairly conservative and Danielle seemed perfect for him. When they had the girls visit him at the Navy site, she looked like such an officer's wife! Bevin is a "wild child" (as he calls her). Tessa seems too liberal or something. Maybe it's her job as a social worker, but they don't make a great match. They'll probably have problems down the road... ;)

I knew Danielle would be going. She really was a great girl, but she and Andy just didn't have enough chemistry. I think the chemistry with Bevin is more physical and with Tessa is more chasing her like someone else mentioned. Tessa seems much more like an officer's wife to me. She classy and well put together. I actually like Bevin because she is fun, but I think Andy is looking for a wife and not someone to make out with who has been divorced and has a tattoo on their shoulder. I wanted him to ask her if she would get that covered up for their wedding, lol.

What I don't get is how he can propose to someone when just a few hours before he's gut-wrenched and torn over the decision. I mean, if you love someone enough to want to marry them, shouldn't you have known for a while? Wouldn't your decision be super-easy then?

My DH and I stayed at the Turtle Bay Resort, it is beautiful! Over on the North Shore of Oahu in case anyone wants to go. :) I'd recommend the Bungalows though, they're nicer than the rooms the ladies stayed in (right on the water, private little cabins).

Andy's grandpa was a hot ticket. It was obvious he was trying to hint that Bevin may have physical chemistry, but that life with Tessa would last. Andy's sister seemed to like Tessa so much more as well. Her faces were cracking me up!

I couldnt agree with you more. With Bevin she said Lt. Andy Baldwin, I love you, etc and he hugged her and she whispered I love you and he said "I love you too Bev, I really do". Then to Tessa he just said I freaking love you.....nice.

I tend to agree with pp who said that Tessa seemed just in it to win. I understand if she was reserved about telling him her feelings, I just dont get the feeling that they will last...but then, not many of them do!

While I'm sure Bevin was hurt, both girls had to know he was kissing/snuggling/doing whatever with the other and that one of them was going to go home. It's not like they had been dating for years. I just don't get how any of these girls can really be "in love" with Lt. Andy Baldwin after having known him for such a short time. I think every single one of the women was in it to win the Bachelor, not to fall in love. And does anyone really think this will last? The track record for this show isn't too great.

A couple of things:

*During the show when they were teasing the proposal, you could see that the dress was blue - I had to rewind a couple of times, but you could really see it. Nice! So I knew for almost the whole show that it would be Tessa and I was so creeped out by Andy getting all up on Bevin.

*I thought it was ironic to see the watch that Bevin gave Andy on Andy's wrist while he proposed to Tessa.

Har! This has always been my criticism of this show (I stopped watching after the Meredith Bachelorette). I watched a few minutes of last night and thought that if my now-husband told me he was thinking of proposing to some other chick the morning of the day we got engaged, we wouldn't have been engaged nor have we married ;)

I think it was interesting to hear them on The View this monring. They talked about how much the show edits out. How they actually spend *hours and hours* together on their "dates" and having great conversations. I think that was evident in the gift she gave him. The photo fram with the pic of them together and all the words and little inside jokes between them. It just goes to show that we only see a fraction of what they go through.
And I give props to Tessa for being so guarded. She as real. That's a real thing to be nervous and scared and guarded when you are first getting to know a guy. And I think he'd much rather pick someone who is real, then someone who throws themself at him from the get-go.

And I think I can totally believe when he said he loved Bevin but was *in love* with Tessa. Of course he loved Bevin, and cared for her deeply. They spent many intimate moments together. But there is a difference between loving someone and truly being IN LOVE with someone.

I wish Andy and Tessa luck, and I really hope they can make it work

jennylou - I didn't think there was much new to share. Tessa and Andy did share the dog tags story, which was cute. They made them during the hometown date and have their nicknames on them. And they got a trip to the Inca Trail.

I think it was interesting to hear them on The View this monring. They talked about how much the show edits out. How they actually spend *hours and hours* together on their "dates" and having great conversations. I think that was evident in the gift she gave him. The photo fram with the pic of them together and all the words and little inside jokes between them. It just goes to show that we only see a fraction of what they go through.

This is why I would totally buy the DVD if they sold one with more of the unaired footage...to see how the actual love story developed. :)

Maybe in an attempt to work with the photogs instead of them camping out in front of where ever they're staying?? It looks staged, but they still look happy and in love. I'm totally trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Tessa has a strange belly. She's super thin every where else, but she has an "outie" belly! It's kind of cute in an outie sort of way!

I think he looks pretty good actually. If you're going to compete in a swim or triathlon, that's what you wear... it's not pretty, but functional.

His upper body is a little big proportionally to his lower half, which is why it kind of looks odd. Anyhow, good for them both for competing in a swim like that.

Hawaii’s Bachelor Lt. Andy Baldwin and fiancee Tessa Horst have called off the engagement, according to In Touch Weekly.

“When the fantasy wore off and the reality set in, we both realized that we weren’t ready to be engaged,” Andy reveals exclusively to In Touch. “We’re taking things much slower.”

Tessa, 26, and Andy, 30, called off their engagement after a therapist suggested they do so. As of now, the relationship is still on, but social worker Tessa has postponed plans to move from San Francisco to Hawaii, where Navy doctor Andy is stationed. (JustJared)
