How do you get rid of them? I have one on the side of my finger fingernail. I got the acid (ok by dr) and after putting it on 2 or 3 times, the skin & wart peeled off. I guess I didn't get it all because it's back. Help!

The home acid treatment didn't get to the root of the wart...or the root of the problem as the case may be. Tee hee. There is research that says using duct tape effective. Some doctors will use nitro spray to freeze the wart so it falls right off. I'm not sure what is acceptable during pregnancy. Good luck and be careful not to let it spread to the neighbor fingers!

I have a friend who made them go away with duct tape.

He got the remedy off of the internet, and it really worked after 2 weeks.

Do not let them use the nitro-spraygun unless you have a very high pain tolerance. It hurts soooo bad. I prefer if they use the q-tip thingy (sorry, I don't know the right word :o ). They dip it in a cup of the stuff and apply it. You may have to go back a couple times, but it seems to work as well as the spray gun and doesn't hurt nearly as much. I had some on my fingers about 5 years ago.

It can spread? I've never had one till I got pg. I guess I'll go back to the acid thing, and make sure I put it on even after I think it's all gone. Black dots mean it's still there right?

Thanks for all the help.

The duct tape thing actually works, it's not just an old wive's tale!

Isign, yeah, black dots or "seeds" are actually the capillaries, and if you see them there is remaining wart tissue.
