Can anyone suggest how to get out spit-up stains? I looked online and I saw suggestions of club soda and baking soda, which I tried and it didn't work. The most noticeable stains of course are on DS's white onesies and the spit-up stains look yellowish after I wash them. I've even tried traditional stain remover sticks and it doesn't seem to help.

Suggestions?

TIA! :)

I am a big fan of Totally Toddler, which is a stain remover you can find in the baby section at Wal-Mart. It is pretty cheap and does a great job. I never tried it on spit-up, but it removes other kid stains pretty darn well.

I just add Baby Oxi-Clean to each load and they come out.

I used to just spot clean them by spraying on some Shout and rubbing the fabric together to scrub out the spot. I never had a problem with staining, but I would usually spot clean the stain as soon as possible. Even when I didn't, however, the stains always came out.

(This is a little time consuming, I know, but it worked for me.)

I use baby Oxiclean for all my stains. Works great.

I found with spit up stains, if you don't treat it right away, you will never be able to get it out.

Put it in the sun after washing, while still wet.

I always soaked them in Dreft before I washed them. If you have already washed and dried the clothes the stain will be set in and it wont come out.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I will try the Baby Oxi-clean. We don't have a w/d in our condo so it's really impossible for me to wash his clothing right away or soak his clothing before washing them although I will try to put some stain remover on it right away whe I can. The other thing is that DS is now in daycare during the week so I don't see the spit up stains until that evening. I hope the Oxi-clean works!

With the oxiclean, I usually soak in a bucket over night, and then wash the next time I do a load.
