I've never had bad allergies to pollen and such, but this year mine are in full force. It's also my first year living outside of North Carolina...I don't know if that has anything to do with it  Ughhhh, it's awful though.

Anyone else feel my pain?

Ugh - my DH has been miserable the last week or so. This weekend was really bad - sneezing, constantly runny nose, watery eyes, etc. We're in MD and everything is just starting to turn Spring-like with buds on the trees, etc.

I've lived most of the last 15 years in the mid-Atlantic region and I never had allergies until we moved to MD. Last Spring I had them for the first time ever. It's weird though because I never had them when we lived 45 minutes away from here.

Yes! The last 2 months have been really awful. I've actually had to go on a daily allergy medication to try to get it under control. My Dr prescribed me a nasal spray, because stuff like Claratin always makes me drowsy plus I'm breastfeeding.

The last week has gotten so much worse I can't breathe or sleep, so I think I've now got a cold. Sad when you're allergies are so bad you can't tell if you've got a cold or if they just got worse. Whatever's going on, I'm miserable.

This is me too! I don't have a fever though.

Mine are starting to warm up as things start growing here in the Northeast. I use a RX nasal spray (Nasocort or Nosanex or something) and sometimes Zyrtec. Claritin stopped working for me. Benadryl is good at night if you tend to wake up sneezing.

I also read, and my dad experienced this when he got diabetes, that if you cut out sugar, you'll have fewer allergy reactions. Not happening for me anytime soon. :)

I'm in NC and my allergies are awful this season. I constantly feel like I'm talking through my nose!

Zyrtec is the only thing that works for me. It's too bad though, because that stuff knocks me out. I'm like a zombie all day long.

I guess it's better than having my contacts fall out while I'm driving... and yeah, that has happened before.

Zyrtec also doesn't even work until you've been on it consistently for a week or more. Blah.

I take Zyrtec at night and sleep it off. It actually does work for me if I just take it as needed, which is good b/c I don't like taking anything every day.
