We are still very into Magic School bus books - single story and chapters though we have not read any today. I am currently read a chapter to him while he uses the potty, another while he brushes his teeth, another 1-3 at sleep time and usually one to wake him up in the morning, though today he wanted a book with morning pictures in it to help him wake up.
Today we finally get back to the libary to return the books we have had out. I am afraid to see what my fine is since I don't remember when we had time to stop at the libary last. :o

DD has actually memorized these books, or at least enough of them that she's been reading them to us for the past couple days! There are a couple of simple board books (like Mama Mama) that she's been 'reading' to her sister as well. I'd love to catch her on video because she looks/sounds sooooo cute, but I know she'd never go for that.

*bump*
We just found a new series of art book by James Mayhew. The Katie Series. Katie visits the art museum with her grandma, and when grandma takes a snooze, Katie jumps into the paintings and has some great adventures.

So far we've read Katie and the Sunflowers, Katie and the Mona Lisa, Katie Meets the Impressionist, and Katie's Sunday Afternoon. We've ordered the other ones from our library. Once I've read the whole series, I'll decide which ones to buy.
dd is totally into dr. seuss and richard scary. i'm starting to wonder what series come next. in particular - at what age is appropriate for junie b. jones (she just got a ton for her 3rd birthday).

My 8yo is working through the Spiderwick series, he was recently given all of the Magic Treehouse books; "It's Gross and I Ate It," and most especially, Calvin & Hobbes.
My 3yo is on a big "dragon" kick. His favorites right now are Dragon in a Wagon, a book on Komodo dragons that my 8yo checked out, The Eggs are Hatching, and The Knight and the Dragon (Tomie dePaola). And i'm working on trying to read some Bible stories every night at bedtime, too.

Eloise in Hollywood
Eloise and the Very Secret Room
Eloise in Paris
Eloise, Eloise, Eloise.
It's DD's current obsession. They had a copy of Eloise displayed at the library a couple of weeks ago and DD requested that book. We checked it out and a couple of others and ever since she's all about Eloise.
