Hi everybody,

I'm 3 months post partum and my DS is doing great but I don't feel so great. I feel like I'm constantly overheated and sweaty. Sometimes it seems connected to my rushing to get to something but mostly I can just be sitting somewhere and I just get all sweaty. And I wake up with headaches too.

Anybody else going thru this? I'm close to calling my OBGYN. It feels hormonal but why is it happening now? (I was hot during my pregnancy too but not like this...)

Thanks

The first two months I was home, I was constantly hot, then cold, then hot, then cold! Most of the time I was pretty hot. It started during labor (my room was a whopping 60 degrees, with a fan, and I was still sweating!) and didn't go away for a few months.

Your hormones will take a while to balance back out after giving birth.

Wait until your hair starts falling out--that's loads of fun!

If you are concerned, call your OB. It could be just hormones, but you'll feel better if you call.

Yeah, the hair falling out thing. That totally took me by surprise!

I think it took me until 6 mos PP to feel completely normal. This does not include your memory and scatterbrainedness which, I hear, never returns  ;) But I was insanely thirsty for quite a while and my emotions took that long to balance out. I wasn't hot but was sweaty and had horrible night sweats. Hang in there ;)

Thanks girls! My hair has started to fall out too but so far I still have a lot on my head too!

I did wind up calling my OB and she said that it's totally normal and completely related to nursing. If I want it to stop, I'd have to stop nursing so I guess I'll just suck it up! Good to know though that nothing is wrong.

Thanks everybody!
